Well I changed the oil AGAIN, because I don't feel okay driving around with a dipstick reflecting an overfilled engine. I pulled the oil filter & cap assembly. I hooked up the Femco drain hose, jacked up the driver side and let it drain for over 30 minutes until the hose was dry. I captured and...
I failed at exactly measuring what drained. I put 5 quarts back in the new jug and the remaining in a milk jug.
If only life was that easy, try having a dealer put in 200% the oil capacity and subsequently grenade the engine in your brand new car. Then have the service foreman pull the...
Did the 1,000 mile oil change on the 2.7 to rid of material shed during the break-in period.
A couple notes:
The dipstick is a pain in the ass to re-insert, Ford should have used a long tube like on most models for ease of use. It feels like it bounces around a lot as it re-enters which may...
Update #2:
Took the Bronco out for it's shakedown last Saturday. Arizona had some incredible monsoon action so we unfortunately did not make it up to Sedona for some rock crawling on Sunday. Nonetheless we still got to take her out for some moderate terrain in the Table...
I've already seen three in the wild! One was a dealer demo mid test drive, another dealer demo on a lot and a 2DR owner driving the opposite way. I about lost my shit when I seen the 2DR because it was the day after we got ours and never expected to see another owner in our area so soon.
So the issue with small diameter lugs is that they don't have a large bulge. On stock wheels the lug wells are painted for bulge style lugs. What you are seeing is the McGard spline style lugs installed on the stock wheels (Wildtrak/First Edition) which has an unsightly silver ring around the...
Updated the OP with initial impressions after Day 1!
My wife has wanted a Bronco ever since rumors started swirling. We talked about getting her one on the way home with her Gen 1 Raptor 6 years ago. A year and nearly a week ago was the reveal. She was still working that night when it started...
Up in North Phoenix, driving down to SDHQ in Gilbert now to pick up a power tank. We are going to find a car show this weekend to go to so everyone in AZ can come check it out.
Some initial delivery observations:
Swing gate painted with bolts installed
Its hard to see but this top definitely has the honeycomb issue in several spots. Will monitor the next few days if it gets worse as it cures in 110+ temps.
This blue substance is in several spots on the top.
The...

Nope...Sanderson doesn't accept deliveries from the rail yard on Saturday and are closed on Sunday. All the other Broncos on the same railcar were delivered except ours. Hoping tomorrow is the day.
Whoever handles incoming deliveries. It is typically only used for sold or "hot" cars that a dealer needs. However, according to my dealer Ford is pre-hot tagging all Broncos.
Same. Ours was offloaded Wednesday and has sat since. The dealer isn't authorized to pick it up, we can't pay for a transport and their "hot tag" system is shit. They said because it was hot tagged it is immediately driven off the railcar onto a transport which didn't happen.
