More then likely they are just suggesting to tape up the end of the fog light connector.
In my experience, yes only takes a few minutes to bolt on the bumper. The bumper bracketry did take a while for me though. Another nice factor of doing this swap is the modular has areas that are perfect...
The plastic bumpers feel like they could float. Especially the rear. The steel are significantly heavier. Don't have actual numbers but I am guessing by a factor of two or three times.
Looks great! I also found one for $150 and snapped it up. Along with the modular bumper on the front, steel skid plates and bull bar; my Wildtrak finally looks...wild!
I feel like this is a trend in lots of new vehicles. I just bought a Chevy Trail Boss ( don't flame me please! It's still American!) and I wanted to get the 6.2 Vortec. Turns out that 3-4% of these motors blow up! I have a 2000 5.3 with 230,000 miles and it does not use a drop of oil in between...
I thought the same thing! I bought mine used from the original dealer, came with a clean Carfax but I still thought it was suspect. Somewhat relieved that I am not the only one.
Well, I cant speak to any potential rust under the pinch weld covers; but I installed the DV8 brand and am very happy with how they look. If I recall correctly, the fitment was a little touchy. It's been awhile.
I would much rather live without the boost feature then "ASS" lol! Just having to not remind my wife about that every time she drives it was worth the price of install!
I do have my dash view to gauges including boost. I found that it was easier to read the boost on my first pro cal unit then the one on the dash. Just personal preference.
So I did go thru and enter all these gauges myself this time around. And yes...lots of choices, most of which are way beyond anything I would care to have displayed! Just does not seem to have a choice that shows boost pressure under either SAE or Airflow. I will mess around with it more today...
Just installed my 2nd Pro Cal Tool. The original one that I purchased alone with the tune went south almost immediately. Crazy scrolling, unstable readout. So the odd thing with this tool is that I cannot see any of the choices in BroncoFrog's spreadsheet for Boost Pressure, which is one of the...
When I went from the plastic to modular front bumper every single sensor receptacle had to be changed. Way to go Ford! LOL. But it was worth it. And agreed...may be plastic on top but sure looks better than my bumper! Had a deal going with a local guy on a Warn, that seems to have fell thru. The...
