No real updates on my engine exchange. Ford rep called yesterday and said all the parts to swap engine have been received by dealership and it will be ready next week. She hasn't revealed any detailed information other than "it needs a new engine". I'm hoping when I pick it up the dealership...
Fully aware of the worldwide problem and lack of availability of products. Wasn't crying sour grapes and never indicated that it was "just my problem". But thanks for your constructive comment.
On a "not so positive" note, my Ford Customer Service Rep left me a voicemail today. She stated that three of the parts to replace my 2.7 are on back order. Two of the parts are scheduled for delivery Thursday, but one of the parts does not have an ETA! She didn't say which parts they are...
Ford customer service has been extremely helpful with me. They actually called yesterday....dealership said mine would be ready next week. I'm hoping dealership will tell me exactly what they found when I pick it up. I just hope there aren't any scratches, scuffs, grease spots, or dings and they...
Ford should take care of rental car. I was told they will reimburse me after Bronco is repaired...just have to submit receipts. The dealer may also have a loaner car they will let you use while Bronco being fixed.
I will try to get more information from the dealership service manager the next time I talk to them. I have a feeling they're not going to be forthcoming with their information. If I had to guess, I'd say they don't want too much information to be released.
I got the same letter a couple of weeks ago. I believe it stated that we have until September 2022 to replace. Think I'm going to wait until next Summer to get my changed.....maybe by then they will figure out how to make quality tops :ROFLMAO:
I have never had to deal with Ford Customer Service, but so far the rep I have been dealing with has been extraordinary. She actually called again this afternoon to follow up and ensure me the rental car fees would be refunded. I asked her if it would be possible to have the Bronco delivered...
So I did find one picture I took of the engine bay not long after I took delivery. I can't make out the sticker, but maybe someone who's skilled at photo enhancement can enlarge and enhance the sticker.
I had the full hood, full fenders, the painted pieced between the bumper and grille, the pieces around the windshield, and the door sills covered. It was somewhere around $1700.
Good one....I appreciate sarcasm.....not everyone gets it.
No, it did not occur to me to climb into my engine compartment to look for a part number or serial number! Can this be determined by the VIN number or window sticker?
I use top tier Regular gas. The Bronco has 2700 miles on it, so the first oil change had not been done. I know that there is some debate about when to make the first oil change. I consulted with the service manager at the dealership on purchase day about changing the factory oil early, and he...
Thank you for the information. It was installed Friday and looks terrific. The installer basically said to treat it like paint, but NEVER use an abrasive material on it.
