Definitely do some shopping ahead of time, and don’t expect Ford to beat anyone. I suppose that credit scores matter, but not sure how much that moves the rate!
Ford was not competitive for Bronco. And didn’t need to be, my dealer has some other CUs they work with, but when I told them already had USAA setup they said “let’s not bother with shopping”
Now you just need to make sure you have 3 or 4 parking spaces at your trailhead! :)
Ive got the same Curt, a straight extension, and Thule T2 rack(which tilts down only). Doubt I will be able to fully swing gate when bikes are on.
You have a big advantage with the pivot mount!
Thinking you could just buy one of the other trim packages and get 2.3 MT sas, or was there something else unique that I’m forgetting about wildtrack? Maybe outer banks? Or badlands if you’re going to offroad…
Yes, and trees falling in forests make no sound… if this doesn’t make ya laugh or at least smile, well … too bad!
I tried it without the camera on, and was too slow to confirm if it works or not ;)
It’s a thought, but haven’t tried it… I think that 2nd is just a little too big of a leap. Maybe if you were pointing downhill a bit… give it a go !
I think I understand, yes there is a piece of metal that interferes a bit. Gotta pull the bolt back and just get the nut to snag a couple threads and then keep working at it gradually.
I actually had more problems laying on the ground and torquing to 110ftlb!
now, go have a Puppers!
I installed a different Curt hitch, but would imagine the bolt lengths are about the same…trying angling the bolt head to the side, horizontally, right up against the muffler, and then allow the threaded portion to slide into the hole.
It seemed non intuitive that it would fit better this way...
It was a JCR bumper install. They were moving the camera and had the fluid hose adapter, too. I was shocked!
towards the end, but this bumper is sweet too!

It’s real! Saw it on a camera relocation video. Windshield washer pump activated. Turn on front camera and wash windshield, you’ll laugh like me.
Not one on rear far as I can tell. Need it there more IMHO.
Kinda like this idea, maybe for a hydroflask that my wife/kids bring that doesn’t fit anywhere! Of course, could just bolt a big quick fist there too…
I have BL with optional beadlocks. So it’s got the 4.70 gears. First and second are short, but I’m not racing it. Just hit 1000 miles, so trying to keep rpm below 3k, so shift to 3rd happens around 25. 3-5 pull nice and get good help from turbo even as low as 2krpm.
on the trail, all I can say...
A - 2.3L with Manual transmission = Yes
B - Average MPG = 19
C - fuel = 91 prem at altitude 6000’
D - Final drive ratio = 4.7
E - tire size & spec's = 285/70R17, option beadlock with 33” Goodyear MTs
F - lift height = factory
Have a decent amount of hill driving and trails. 40%hwy, 40cty, 20%...
I was torn, wanted a manual because it’s more fun/interactive to drive. At first I felt that I was forced to “settle” for puny 33’s. The lockers and SBD on the badlands make it wonderfully adequate for what I’m looking to do in the first few years of its life. Happy with the look, and may add...
I almost did the same, but In the end I chose the shorter Curt with an additional extension (that I can remove). Why? Little better clearance when off-road by not having that extra foot hanging off the back all the time. Final price was about the same…and install was super easy.
