I'd say anyone that first week should feel very safe regardless of dealer size. I think the further the date out progresses, then the dealer size starts to matter.
Now if 1000 people with first week reservations all transferred to one dealer, then I'd be worried.
We will turn in all orders, either before the window closes or after if that's when the customer gets us the information. And to answer the question about the 150, yes, they will decide based on timestamp or commodities I'm sure.
That's actually a great question and another one that is simply...
I can promise you Dearborn is well aware of things that go on with this forum...but I don't think we'll hear many more announcements from them.....except about plan pricing maybe. That's my guess.
Biggest piece of the puzzle I think people on this forum aren't really thinking about is that whole "other 50%" of Broncos dealers are going to get. That is going to play a much bigger part than anyone thinks.
That's why I said yesterday that it would be good for dealers to actually post their...
They haven't told us. They only told us we could put orders in whenever we wanted after it was live in WBDO(order system). They made an official statement saying orders would be prioritized by timestamp and commodities, which tells me they're going to organize them on their own and sort...
I expect that for many reasons. A) they called it the First Edition. B) Ford normally produces the most expensive(highest margin) vehicle trim levels first and C) that's what I've been told. :)
I've said before, everyone needs to think of allocation in terms of this 2021 MY Bronco as the total number the dealer will receive for 2021. It will all be to fill orders. There will be no allocation for "dealer stock" or the lot. The only Broncos making it to the lot for sale would be orders...
I've had several people ask me if we're going to put orders in based on timestamp and my answer is yes....and no. We're going to contact customers in order of timestamp, but I don't believe that all orders can hypothetically be placed in reservation order. That would require every person to do...
This is the only piece I don't agree with from what I know. Or let me state otherwise.....they could get the 50%, but it could be a long time and a couple of model years.
If a dealer has 1000 reservations, they won't get 500 Broncos automatically. Unless they're a seriously large volume...
There seems to be some confusion(at least for me there is) when dealers advertise below x-plan since 1) it's not allowed by Ford and they can revoke your plan privileges altogether and 2) it's a direct violation to even advertise that you're giving plan holders a "special" deal of any kind...
Negative on the allocation. Always know how many reservations we have. And that's the big roll of the dice. We won't know how many we're getting until December/January.
I have an idea though based on what Ford has told us.
I think to be totally transparent, dealers on the forum should post their actual allocation and reservation totals when Ford tells them how many Broncos they'll be getting. That would be helpful. I will.
