I understand it is the angle of the windshield that is the issue. I was simply saying that if I have to take my rig in for a recall on the windshield, I might as well see if I can pay a slight fee to get a more durable glass.

I dont know if it is possible, but I am going to look into some form of glass upgrade when I take it in for the windshield recall.

Also, any idea what this is for? Should I drill a hole and run the cables through to get to the aux switch and fuse box?

If no one is interested, try plastidip. Had a buddy do all the chrome on his 4 runner with plastidip, and I'd surprisingly looked great! Also held up well. He has not seen any issues with it in 2 years.
