That looks like the same size hole mine was, I used the Rampage nuts and they're in there very tight. The ridges on the other ones made me feel like instead of sandwiching down they would also dig into the paint and I didn't want that.

Correct I have 2 round spacers at all 4 corners now. In the rear you can't get anymore spacers on top since there's not enough threads on the top bolts. If you need more than a 1/2 inch more in the rear you may want to try to find a spacer that goes under the top hat to compress the spring.
