Brabus went the way of Dinan for BMW. Before MB had AMG and BMW really implemented "M", Brabus and Dinan did some nice performance and appearance upgrades for MB and BMW. Kind of redundant now, so they try and sell with some pretty extreme looking appearance packages IMHO.
My sister has 21s on her Defender. It is actually quite capable off-road, but not with those wheels and low-profile tires. I will say the overall look is nice with those wheels, but as pavement princess.
It's not a big hit to my overall financial picture (It's also not like I am buying real high-end luxury cars - which some very wealthy people buy a lot of). I pay cash and hold, but still feel like something new every 7 or 8 years. I also got used to having two cars (I used to put on a ton of...
From the vid, appears the two front roof tops were taken off before towing. The driver did that himself to get him and his dog rescued I guess? Also, he looked the age of a Deadhead. Still not the sticker I expect to see on a Braptor. Though, I had some Deadhead friends back in the day and gave...
I can only imagine 300k. Work out of my house semi-retired and not a big traveler except one trip a year. So with several vehicles getting 3k a year or so each, they die way (way) before 300k. Cars wear not driving a lot in many ways. Anything rubber/plastic dries out or cracks with time. My...
Gotta like the two-tone grey/black MGV. I do think BD has the best color scheme, so I like that on my BD that just has the standard trim package otherwise.
I don't have the Suma mirrors, but I have the standard BD trim that comes with the blind-spot mirrors in the upper left corner (no BLIS, etc. - what was available in the used market in my otherwise personal choice specs) and I love them. On my Explorer I have BLIS, which I consider pretty...
I live right near a college with a lot of rich kids. New(er) BMWs and Wranglers everywhere with college age drivers. Heck, my sister and her husband who are status conscious just bought their first daughter to go to college a new (not loaded) Wrangler. Otherwise, younger people who don't have...
Thankfully everything turned out OK for OP - all things considered. Made me re-evaluate things, which can be valuable learning for all. I've recovered a lot of people from beach sand over the decades (and got recovered twice myself - and managed to get myself out of hairy situations on my own...
People are paying well over $200k for a slightly used G-Wagon AMG that lists for $180k. They can get that Raptor with over-priced carbon fiber for a lot less. That's the target market. A ton of $50k cars sitting on lots, but the top-end money out there these days seems to snatch up that $200k...
And perhaps off-road lights are not so expensive given the cost of components for high-output, made in USA, etc., but I did have some sticker shock first joining this forum with my new Bronco. Mind you, I have done decades of off-road, but it has been primarily driving beaches night fishing or...
Lot of great looks. I'd go with MGV over leather. I have a '16 Explorer where the seats are vinyl with leather inserts (for the luxury I guess). Vinyl much better in not cracking. And with the Bronco being open air...
I forget exactly what buttons you hit to reset. I think it is volume and next track at the same time for like 3 seconds. My guess is you will need to sync phones again and redo your preferred settings.
No buddy of mine is using a porta-potty and getting in my Bronco. Does a bear you know what in the woods? So can a Bronco owner!

Not a prob on my stock BD with 32" stock tires. I even replaced the non-Sig lights with aftermarket brighter Form lights with the Sig LED DRL rings and cross blinker and dual projector LED low beams (as well as high beams on the bottom). When I did the headlight change no passing cars flashed me...
If I could afford it, I'd have a restored early gen next to my BD like one poster has the old and new in his profile pic. I'm not sure which I like better. Ford and an auto restoration company got together with Jay Leno for this '68 1st gen. Ford was smart. They helped with the rebuild of this...
So I watched their longer YouTube install. They have a wiring harness that uses the headlight harness and then to the fuse box. You can set plugs near the headlight wiring harness to either turn them on when you start the Bronc to be on all the time, so with DRLs, or to only start with...
