  1. 2025 Suspension Recommendations (by Snacktime)

I always think of it this way. Sprung weight is what the springs are supporting. Unsprung weight is the weight of the things that move and are attached to the springs. Sprung weight not moving doesn't impart things like torque or acceleration or impact. Unspring weight imparts torque...
  2. Lowest tire pressure you are willing to run offroad (without bead locks)

Likely nothing. That's just a very low air pressure. Unless it popped off the bead there, you can run it. However, it is a little rough on the sidewalls.
  3. Highest Hidden Winch Install - w/ stock skid plates and bumper

If a bumper doesn't specifically call out that it has recovery points, then whatever is attached to it should not be considered a recovery point. Most aftermarket bumpers do nothing to increase the strength of the attachment points for the bumper. People have bent the frame horns using the...
  4. Highest Hidden Winch Install - w/ stock skid plates and bumper

Have you seen the Lobo WNC front bumper, which has the winch mounted in about the same space? It only works with a Warn Evo winch or a similarly sized one and needs to relocate the control box. Looks like your bracket was made specifically for the winch you have...
  5. Bronco Stalled Out

No one ever replied. Did you get a sense of it? To me it sounded like a glitch in the engine or driveline management, possibly the torque converter being told to lock up, dragging the engine RPM down, and stalling it. That's really the only thing there that might have done that. Either that...
  6. Accutune Ride Shocks - Off-road Review and Videos

Those are the shocks on my list for adding a lift and 37s to my rig. Nice update.
  7. Most UNDERUSED mods on Broncos? Go!

I take it off and store it. But I have seen that others do that. Problem with mine is that center aluminum support bar. It has two plastic pieces, one on one end, one on the other. One side popped out and was lost on mine. I emailed for a replacement but got crickets. So I have to do some...
  8. Most UNDERUSED mods on Broncos? Go!

1 - fitted cover with roof off (never have used it, not water resistant) 2 - mudflaps (broke off in year 2) 3 - bimini shade (only on during the summer) 4- roof lifting system (only during the summer)
  9. 3 Most USED Mods on Broncos? Go!

Phone Mount made up of: Quadlock charging phone mount plus AMPS plate ProClip - Bronco flat plate mount ProClip - 10" Stand (AMPS plates) Mabbit center console padding RCI Skidplates
  10. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

Got the Bronco back last night. That morning I got a video from the tech that worked on the bronco that said what he did and showed the undercarriage. He said everything looked good, though my eye spotted rust on the union between the front shock reservoir and the shock body, so I'll keep my...
  11. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

Here is how the dealer process has been so far: They didn't look at it all but for the headlight switch until Wednesday 3 days ago. That's when the parts from the TSB showed up. Talked to them yesterday and they were still working on it, but did share they didn't find a need for any other parts...
  12. World's First 12-Second 1/4 Mile 6G Bronco

That's about the power it took from my 93 Ford Thunderbird which had similar weight, but much lighter wheels/tires than on your's. I had fueling issues and had methanol injection, but had let off just before the traps, so my 12.98 likely would have been deeper had I not left off (speed was...
  13. World's First 12-Second 1/4 Mile 6G Bronco

That's a lot of power to push a brick that fast down the road. I'm not seeing any driveline updates. Do you have anything planned? Any fears of breakage in CV's or driveshaft connection points?
  14. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

Funny thing, so the Bronco is there awaiting parts. I'll ask tomorrow if they can share what was found and ordered. My loaner car came in yesterday, and guess what, It is a Bronco Sport Badlands. Such a different experience for something with a similar name.
  15. Ripped off by Ford and Off-Roadeo

By that logic, the independent car repair location that has the ability to reprogram the ecu from the ford images, is now part of ford, because they have access to the ford data?
  16. Best real-world MPG achieved?

If I keep the tires full of air, the 7-speed Sasquatch 2-door will average 20-21mpg driving around the suburbs. 22-23 mpg going down the highway. If I drop the tires down to 36, I lose about 1mpg for a softer ride.
  17. Ripped off by Ford and Off-Roadeo

Also the Off-rodeo isn't a Ford event. It's a private company that is authorized by ford.
  18. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

My understanding is that this is a manufacturing variance issue. Depending on which side of the variance your transmission sits on, it may never have an issue, may have a slight NVH issue, or may have a persistent issue. I've yet to see one torn down where someone shows the actual issue. So...
  19. Do You Let Your Bronco Warm Up Before Driving

You didn't have it in your list, but I do give it a moment. Generally I'll start it, then buckle my seatbelt, then get my phone in it's mount, and then I'll shift it into gear and get going. 30-45 seconds maybe a mintue.
  20. Using 4A when raining?

It's really for me something that is automatic so I couldn't tell you exactly what causes me to press that button. But I can share an example of when I have. RAIN The other day it was raining a lot, it wasn't a downpour, or thunderstorm, but just a constant slow rain. I took off from stop sign...
