just an update. i'm sure the ppl who are waiting are waiting on the actual byod 'rail'. i just ordered the b.a.l.l.s. the order just shipped today. so 1 day turn around.

I emailed them right after I posted. She said lead times are down to 1-2weeks. so I ordered 2 b.a.l.l.S. @helifino16 thx. Might pick up one of those.

i guess you're right. i just looked up someone else's suggestion or using 'smallrig' adpaters. the ball and adapter would be the same price as a b.a.l.l.s. 🤷‍♂️ thanks for giving me clarity.

i guess i will if there is no alternative. but $13 vs $35 times multiple balls... and for me, add shipping to Canada... no bueno. why they wouldn't machine that gap to be a standard 1/4" ....... i guess, obviously, to sell their balls.

Hi all. i thought it would be easy enough to mount a ball to the Archetype rail. So i bought these: https://www.amazon.com/RAM-MOUNTS-RAP-B-354U-TRA1-Diameter-Attachment/dp/B00FE66K86 but the bolt is 1/4" diameter and the space in the rail (the 'smooth' rail specifically) is slightly more narrow...

Seems weird. Feels like you could just call ford corporate or another dealership. If they’re dealing with msrp, which they should be, then the pricing will be the same everywhere.

When you put your actual order in, didn’t you get a bill of sale? That is the price you should be paying. Not sure about the US, but If the dealer is playing shenanigans, Ford Canada doesn’t like that.

i don't know how ford messed this one up. the rear 1-pc section of the 2-door hard top is actually longer than for the 4-door. why they didn't add a 2nd attachment point on the 2-door is baffling.

also, if you're considering the 5" ADV flares... RTR support told me they would have some timing info by july-ish about all the stuff they've revealed including their flares. if you really want to stand out.. .it's an option...:

Brand new. Still in box. I opened it to look but never pulled out of box/packaging. Changed direction in my build. The rack I want to get doesn’t work with a soft top. $2400 Canadian obo. Bought from dealer. They won’t take it back because I opened the box. don’t want to fool around with...

hard top, rack, rtt,.. and a garage opening that's barely 82" .. this is getting complicated...

right. But they also said ordering with manual will delay your build well into 2022. Which my automatic was pushed to anyway. 🤷‍♂️ regardless, first automatic car I’ve ever owned. Love the bronco. Not the transition so much. ;)
