Intriguing.
Cheap flight to PDX. Realistically, about $400-500 more than Granger’s deal.
I’m torn, because I like road trips through the country’s heartland.
Keep your speeds varied when possible and don’t overwork the engine.
it’s anecdotal, I bought our 2008 FJ in Houston ($8k off, stayed with family in TX and CO). Drove it back over 2 days at mostly high interstate speeds. I did change the oil when I got home. At 150k miles, it didn’t miss a beat...
I made an October reservation and Gramger is offering $2k below invoice (which is typically 8% below mark) for them. Not sure on a base 2-door with manual (and likely sasquatch), Hoping to stay under $30k as this won’t replace a vehicle.
Yes, I’d fly and drive back...long drive but those trips...
Base 2-door with manual for me. Maybe Sasquatch. Basically what I wish my old FJ would’ve been in 2008.
We have a GX for the family trips or weekend adventures. It’s plenty capable, and easily tows our camper.
I must have misunderstood your previous post. I do wonder how hard it’ll be to recalibrate the speedometer for different tire sizes. I too prefer tall and skinny... that’s what we run on the GX in winter (also studded- it’s unstoppable).
I bet you’d have no problem selling the wheel and tire combo. Look on your local Craigslist at F150 and Raptor wheels and tires. Cheaper to buy take-offs than buy new tires.
I don’t think sag is the correct term, sag is what I think of when the ass is drooping.
This just has some bad-ass hot rodder rake to it...like when I forget to let air out of the rear bags in my wife’s GX after towing.
I think you can see the upper left corner of that screen on the outside of the steering wheel. It’s a funny angle. I’d be fine if the base had a set of analog gauges.
