The reality is that there will be many Broncos on lots with big ADMs because of dealers fraudulently converting customer reservations and Ford refusing to cancel them.

I mean, that's not really true. Your dealership can convert your order right now, keep your deposit, and then sell the vehicle you reserved on the lot once it shows up not at all like you would have ordered it. That seems to be what is happening to my reservation.

Ford created a system that is the worst of both worlds, combining the impersonal and poor communication aspects of online ordering with the sleaziness, incompetence, and ignorance aspects of the dealership model.

Nah, they do 100% until they get their first warning strike and then 19.9% every month afterward.

I called the dealership nearly a week ago and told them to cancel my order. They said they would but it's still showing as active at Ford.com. I suspect the dealership is going to try and keep the order and my deposit.

Is your old order actually showing as cancelled and did you actually get the deposit refunded? I was told by Ford multiple times they couldn't do this and that only the dealer could do it.

Ford did an extremely poor job setting up this entire reservation process. It combines the worst aspects of both ordering online and dealing with a dealership.
