Completely agree. Trucks seem to be a bottleneck these days, and at a premium (know of instances where vehicles have taken 2-3 weeks just to go the last 30 miles or so from the rail yard to dealer out here). Saying all that, it’s hard to predict the timing.
Fully dependent on parts and your location, but have heard 3-5 weeks from a few dealers in the past to CA. My Raptor is arriving by rail this morning (slightly less than 3 weeks since blend), but we'll see how long it takes to get it transported to the dealer.
Appreciate the response. I think I was a day or so behind you in IL, so hoping that once it arrives at the rail yard (now tomorrow morning), it is offloaded to the dealer quickly.
You'll need to post some pictures when you pick it up today. Enjoy that drive home.
Curiously, do you know how long it took to be delivered from the rail yard? Mine is arriving into SoCal tonight and just trying to see any guidance for when it may thereafter be delivered to a dealer in the area (know some cases where it took 2-3 weeks previously).
And congrats.
All these prices look a lot better than the $150k ADMs that were being charged on 992 GT3s…
Joking aside, there is so much demand for this car right now - people don’t want to wait the 2+ years reservation holders have (golden tickets), and there are so few allocations currently available...
I’m not sure Carmax values are always a good indicator. In getting quotes for my current trim I’m selling for another Bronco, they were $16k lower than other dealers (and KBB / Black Book values).
I’d agree with your comment - was not a fan of the Gen I F150 Raptor, but certainly Gen 3. For the Bronco, I’m guessing people need to really see these in person and the scale to judge them, as even photos of a SAS doesn’t do it justice.
Are you using the Ford Performance chat or Ford chat? FP wouldn't provide me info, but the general Ford chat did. I've also obtained the rail information in the past directly from my dealer.
If it's heading to CA, try using the Union Pacific number (800-877-5123) to get an update. Mine started on CSX but wouldn't give any ETA on the CSX number after Blue Island, IL.
Glad I'm in good company. I was able to obtain rail car info from Ford chat yesterday, and train I'm on is scheduled to arrive into CA morning of 10/4 (thus, hoping it hits the closer estimate for delivery and isn't stuck at the rail yard for a few weeks).
I had the same problem yesterday. Refreshed every 10-15 minutes and after the 3rd or 4th attempt, the normal screen popped up. Assume just too much demand.
In Southern CA I know there are times it can take 2-3 weeks to get it from the rail yard once in CA to the dealer due to truck shortages, so that could be part of the estimate you're being given. Mine showed as shipped on 9/23 with an estimated arrival into the CA rail junction on 10/4, but an...
Nice to see the status changed to built, after being in production for a few months. Let's hope you are prioritized onto a train, and make a quick trek.
Order Track will not have the rail info. Need to request from your dealer or Ford chat may provide (Ford Performance chat would not disclose).
edit: to further clarify, once you have the rail car number you’ll need to call the carrier to get a telephonic update. Can’t recall the specific...
There was a comment on an IG post they are asking $130k, so that aligns with your comment. That was just the first car I saw was in the area and might have to go check it out to see one in person.
Saw that Galpin has an Eruption Green for sale, but have no idea the ask. Seeing these arriving at dealers is going to make these next few weeks feel very long until my delivery date.
