  1. Bronco Order Update with Conversion Information

Thanks for the update - excited to see the final conversion rates in March. Standing by
  2. Bike rack / bicycle carrier options for 2021 Bronco?

I saw a Jeep once where they had a bolt on swing out tire carrier that had a bike rack built in, and then the somehow modded the tailgate into a flip down. It was pretty slick.
  3. Bronco Longboard Concept – 2DR LWB Imagined

Agreed. I'd take a tight turning radius over departure angle any day... I need my U Turns quick.
  4. Has anyone driven the manual yet? Getrag MT-88

We're all hoping the mT-88 is far superior to the MT-82 and shifts as it should. I'll probably get the 8 year powertrain-only ESP if the dealer gives me a good deal on it, peace of mind that if any issues come up it will be covered. The manual will be too much fun to pass up for me.
  5. Let me know what ya think

i too was in high school once... ;)
  6. Should I pass on First Edition?

I think in the long run the navy interior will hold more value. It may seem ugly now but it will be cool later. Just like the limited interiors of other cars. Either way, don’t buy it expecting to recoup your costs. The lease curve from Ford shows the higher trims will likely depreciate the most.
  7. Bronco pickup? Gladiator shows what will happen...

I agree with your sentiment. My prior post was regarding full size trucks with short beds. It’s a lot of truck to have a short bed. Mid size truck is very different in my opinion and also more suv-like and more drivable. Also the payload is inclusive of passengers so if you’ve got 4 adults in a...
  8. Bronco pickup? Gladiator shows what will happen...

I said trucks that can haul anything worthwhile drive like crap (aka, not mid size trucks with ~1300 lb payload ratings, which isn't much more than a 2021 bronco)
  9. Bronco pickup? Gladiator shows what will happen...

Fair enough - i guess I would just use a roof rack for lumber material at that point, because in my opinion most trucks that can haul or tow anything worthwhile tend to drive like crap. It's a big concession in my mind. Edit: also did ford really give up anything from an offroad perspective...
  10. Bronco pickup? Gladiator shows what will happen...

what is the point of a pickup with a <6 foot bed? This whole concept is ridiculous. Unless you're hauling appliances on a regular basis and need the height, using it for only towing, or just like the look of a pickup, it's useless as a pickup without at least a 6ft bed. Also, the suspension...
  11. Bronco (Ford) Hacks - What are they

everyone gets so riled up about the start stop. It works flawlessly on my f150 and i've compared my round trip commute with it on off and it makes a pretty sizeable difference on fuel costs when you're in stop and go. Also I wouldn't worry about the starter they are much beefier and specifically...
  12. Has anyone driven the manual yet? Getrag MT-88

Yep like i said in my OP i'm definitely getting the manual, waiting for squatch... just itching for some first hand drive reports!
  13. Has anyone driven the manual yet? Getrag MT-88

I hear you on the heated seats. I'm going manual squatch and just going to do heated/cooled katzkins installed aftermarket. Should extend the top-off season.
  14. Paint protection film....worth it?

this coating craze will never make sense to me. ceramic, film. Your car comes from the factory with protection on it. it's called paint and clear coat, and it's highly engineered specifically to meet the demands of these vehicles. The paint on my f150 is incredibly stout and takes a serious...
  15. Has anyone driven the manual yet? Getrag MT-88

I agree the lack of real information is frustrating. why can't they just give one to car and driver or an offroad magazine?
  16. Has anyone driven the manual yet? Getrag MT-88

I think you may open a whole new can of worms with the diesel swap idea... my eyes just perked up a little bit.... i have dreams of a manual diesel...
  17. Has anyone driven the manual yet? Getrag MT-88

makes sense - i wonder if the MT82 replacements were modified in any way, or maybe they used different oils once installed? Or maybe the earlier batches were just bad from a QC perspective? I remember reading a lot about it at one point but I wasn't sure if anyone ever actually came out and...
