...I agree...I don't think Ford would be putting protection strips on doors and other places..and a spare tire,on a crash vehicle or a throw away vehicle...these could be test cars or possible dealer cars...I still find it difficult that Ford expects maybe a quarter of a million people to buy...

..We were putting fender covers on the cars back in the 70's...this is why they take the doors off after they are painted...and put them back on later...to avoid damage..
