Despite Ford CEO Jim Farley's announcement, it's not exactly a return to "business-as-usual" for the stealerships. The public comment period on the Federal Trade Commission's proposed administrative rules for all automotive dealers in the U.S. just ended on 12 September. The public...
I sure hope cooler heads prevail and all parties hammer out an agreement/compromise at the negotiation table. Although this forum is automotive-focused, other members here have pointed out there are fair bigger impacts to the nation if there is a rail strike. As reported at CNN Business...
So... notified by Ford last night by email that I've been rescheduled from the week of 26 September to the week of 17 October 2022. Was kind of expecting this to happen, based on the number of other's posting about getting moved into October. This was my first "bump" so I'll consider myself as...
UPDATE: "Bumped" and joining the 10/17 Production Week.
Was notified by Ford email last night (13 September) that I've been bumped in production from 26 September to week of 17 October. Kind of expected it to happen, based on preponderance of others reporting similar issues. Having the VIN...
Walk-in order: December 2021. Received Ford email containing VIN and Build Week of 9/26/22. My dealership emailed me within 24 hrs and confirmed the same info. No other updates/news since then. Now, just waiting to see if Ford will stay on schedule.
Based on reading othersā experiences, I would...
If it helps, I used to live in New England and had a Land Rover Disco II. Soon as I moved there, I checked into a LR specialist mechanicās shop and had them apply Waxoyl (a well-known Swiss made product) to the underside and inside all the body cavities. That stuff is legit. I now live in...
Awesome. Definitely a nice off-roader. But those 37s are a bad choice for overlanding. You want maximum range and mpg for overlanding and 33s are a better compromise to get there. Secondly, you just wonāt find 37s when you need to replace tires while traveling down in South America or Africa or...
Looks fantastic up there; am planning some visits myself. Your gas mileage sounds pretty good. Was it a result of traveling at a reduced road speed? Other factor(s)?
IMHO: Hard top looks great against the EG body! (Even the EB tire cover is a nice touch.) Painting the fender flares took it a step too far. Accent colors can make a paint scheme "pop"... the key is not to overdo it. But, hey, if you're happy with the result then enjoy.
Received Ford's email yesterday, 29 AUG 2022:
Walk-In Order: 22 DEC 2021.
Scheduled for Production: Week of 26 SEP 2022.
Model: 2022 Badlands (non-SAS), 4-dr, 2.7L, MIC, High Package, Tow, Mod Steel Bumper
Great to have that VIN. No window sticker populated yet. Still... cautiously optimistic.
A squirrel chewed thru both wiring harnesses to the left and right side marker/turn signal lights, then demolished the wiring harness for the air-conditioning system. All told, about $1400 in parts/labor to set everything right. How do I know it was squirrels? We found the furry insurgent was...
'... and not a leg.' š (Very few people here will understand that Army term.) Glad to buy things from StickerFab now and then - pretty good stuff. I also like some of the things from Archetype Racing (AR) for the Bronco.
