Can you give me the name of your lawyer that works for a cut of $100?
No dealer is taking legal threats over $100 seriously and if they're scummy enough to convert the order without your consent they may very well be scummy enough to just keep your $100 and tell you to eff off.
Ford should change their disclaimer from "You can cancel your reservation anytime. Your deposit will be credited back to you in your original form of payment. "
to
"You can cancel your reservation anytime before the dealership converts your reservation to an order without your consent, after...
The same way the old one did?
Again, the point is I'm not sure I WANT a new reservation at this point. I'm not feeling super warm and fuzzy about Ford designing a system that's easily gamed by their dealerships and then taking zero responsibility for when those dealerships game the system...
I've spoken to both teams/numbers and gotten the same story from both.
There's actually nothing preventing the new dealer from doing the same thing. Sure, you'd think they wouldn't screw you after they talked to you but you'd also think the first dealers weren't going to screw everyone over...
Multiple people at Ford Customer Relations have told me multiple times that they cannot cancel your original order and that only the dealership can do that, which they of course have little or no incentive to do.

And you can basically see it in this thread, right? They're not "changing orders back to reservations" they're making people create totally new reservations and pay...
Where is this text anywhere other than on this forum? I can't find any official statement that says this anywhere, and Ford Customer Relations is not abiding by it, at all.
According to my (now numerous) conversations with Ford customer service they cannot and will not cancel the old reservation/order which means you need to contact the dealership so if the dealership (which already converted your order without your consent) decided they don't want to cancel it and...
This just happened to me and Lisa with the Ford Bronco Reservation Team told me there's nothing she can do about it, it's up to the dealership, and if the dealerships wants to keep my $100 without ordering the Bronco I want then that is their prerogative.
I made a reservation for a 2 door Badlands on 10/04/20. Today I get an email from Ford saying to convert to an order by 3/19 in order to get an estimated delivery window in May.
Called the dealer told him what options I wanted, he said he thought it'd be built in 3-4 months.
Never asked me for...
