Get the Moab 4x4 trail book by Wells. There are so many trails, and he does a great job of listing them, how to get to them, what to expect on the trail and the rating. You can get it in bookstores and Amazon.
I checked Friday and the word still is February. Any dealer can take an order and money, but Ford won't accept it until the order banks open. My order is "in" as well.
Personally like the KO2s. Those that have trouble with them in the rain, do you have too much air in them? The contact patch increases as you lower pressure. If you are not loaded to the max on your vehicle, you can lower pressure 3 - 4 PSI or even more, if it is cold and you are not going 80...
How do you like the Icon suspension? That is what I am thinking on my 2 door (when I get it). How does it go down the road and also handle the rocks? I am in Moab, so it will be used mostly for rock crawling, and I thought going with stage 7 would be best for me. I will also be on 37s.
I posted this before in another thread, but this is my thoughts.
Tire, pressure and wheel thoughts
It seems to me that there are a lot of questions on tires and wheels. I have never worked in a tire shop, but I have bought a lot of tires, wheeled off-road for over 20 years, belonged to a...
The rodeo does not go into Arches National Park. That is the only place you need a reservation. At this time Canyonlands National Park does not need a reservation, unless you are doing White Rim trail. Even if you do Shafer trail up into the park from Potash you do not need a reservation.
Homewood Suites by Hilton is downtown and a nice hotel, there is a Best Western Plus Greenwell Inn also, a little lower rating. It is high season and a weekend, so it won't be cheap, but the weather should be great. You will need a reservation ticket to get into Arches National Park as of April 1.
This was taken at my old place. Haven't updated at the new place. Bronco Raptor will replace F-150 Raptor, and Pro R RZR will replace Turbo S, hopefully both this year.
It is a C range tire. I have run a lot of C range tires including now on my 2019 F-150 Raptor and my Jeep. It is true the sidewall will flex more but low pressure (down to 12) will not harm the tire unless you go fast on a paved road, as the additional flexing will create more heat. Actually...
You are correct, I mean to say when replaced or removed from the rim. Sorry, loose connection between the hands and mind. Thanks for the correction. The reason for waiting is not because the bead may give way, it is because at low pressure the liquid may allow the tire to rotate on the rim...
Tire, pressure and wheel thoughts
It seems to me that there are a lot of questions on tires and wheels. I have never worked in a tire shop, but I have bought a lot of tires, wheeled off-road for over 20 years, belonged to a couple of Jeep clubs and have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. Here...
