Via Google, it appears that Sam Pack's has multiple Five Star Ford dealerships in the area. They might wait until they have enough vehicles at Alliance to fill a transport before dispatching one for all of their dealerships. That would be unfortunate if that's your current situation.
Nice! I reached out to my dealer (Bob Tomes in McKinney) to see if they can give me an estimate on how long it will take from rail yard to dealership. I do know at least one person (Five Star Ford in Lewisville) whose Bronco has been sitting at Alliance since 12/28/2022, so I'm not exactly sure...
Got some good news on my end. My Bronco arrived at Alliance this morning (7:18 AM)! Hopefully, it won't have to wait too long before it's picked up and delivered to my dealer.
@scottfwalter, any news on your Bronco? Maybe the trucking companies wait until they have more of a full load before...
It's a mobile hotspot for the camera so that you can do things like monitor it via the cloud while it's in parking mode. I looked into leveraging the Bronco's built-in hotspot, but it can't be used after you shut the vehicle off.
Note: BlackVue just announced some new products at CES 2023...
I'm starting slow with mods, but I've ordered the following two items that I feel are essential must-haves when my Bronco arrives: front mud flaps (mainly to protect the paint from these Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires), and a new dash cam.
I went with IAG's I-LIne Mud Flap Front Set and...
Just got an update from CSX. Departed Kansas City, KS at 6:50 PM.
I really need to take a break from both the computer and my phone, lol. I'm certain that will change as soon as my Bronco arrives. 🤠 (y)
🤯 It's really going! I'm guessing it will reach Gainesville, TX tomorrow night, and reach Alliance Rail Yard (my railcar's final stop) in Haslet, TX on Monday morning.
@Ewebster, nice info. Thanks! Looks like that member's transit from arrival in at Gibson to arrival in Fort Madison only took around 1.5 days, so that's promising news. That's quicker than @scottfwalter's railcar transit. Must have been the holidays or something that slowed it down.
Your detailed info on the stops your railcar took (and the timing) has been making this train ride a little easier. It would have been more stressful had I been completely in the dark, so thanks! (y)
Edit: I was just now able to re-share that info with another member in the 12-19-2022 build...
These are the stops/locations another member's railcar took to get from Wayne Michigan to Alliance Rail Yard in Haslet, TX for final delivery via truck to D/FW dealerships. His was part of the 12/12/2022 build week, like mine, but it got shipped more than a week before mine. I believe mine is...
I'm part of the 12/12/2022 build week group, but we appear to be on the same train. I believe the next stop is Fort Madison, IA. I'm in the D/FW area. What's your railcar #? Mine is TTGX991162.
Just got a new CSX update. My railcar departed Joliet, IL today @ 4:26 PM. No ETA available.
Edit: I'm hoping this particular departure means the next stop will be Fort Madison, IA.
No new movement on my railcar. CSX says it's still in Gibson, IN.
From what I've found online, "Gibson" is actually in Hammond, IN, and it's part of the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad (IHB). It's used to classify railcars of new autos into blocks for western destinations. I guess that process is...
