Canāt dolly tow (2 wheels on dolly trailer, 2 wheels on ground).
Under TRANSPORTING THE VEHICLE section of ownerās manual is the following text:
āAll-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles require that all wheels be off the ground using a wheel lift and dollies or flatbed equipment. This prevents...
Hereās what is always in my Bronco. No it is not a great big comfy chair but it is sufficient. Price canāt be beat; buy a couple and try them.
Quick measurement at the thickest part - the center ring - is just under 3ā. The rest is fabric & poles which one can pack neatly enough to fit I...
Your roommate is not mental, heās just lacking complete knowledge.
Tow capacity is about way more than weight pressing down on the hitch. It is about starting, stopping (including emergency braking!), cooling, and control.
Non-Raptor max tow is 3500 lbs. Believe it. His XJ is at least 4,000...
Looking at that unit on etrailer website - there is NO WAY Iād install some permanently sticking out like that. Not only dragging off road, but also busting my legs against it. Get a standard receiver, get a moderate length extension, and get an anti-rattle unit (they really work well).
I donāt see a problem. Black from carbon, yes, which is common for a turbo engine (especially tuned to keep combustion temps down for emissions of oxides). Tips are solid and gap is consistent.
@Leilani FYI the BB w OEM A/T tires (225/75R17) are 32ā, not 29ā as in the subject line.

@Fordified1 THANK YOU! Just read the irv2 thread you posted. This has kept me awake at night wondering what might be wrong and how could I possibly find the root cause. Iāve towed my 4A Bronco thousands of miles and never had a failure - also changed out fluids and they looked great. This...
Ditto. Youāre the first person Iāve heard say this. I changed my transfer case fluid and it looked pretty. FYI weāve flat towed nearly 8,000 miles combined.
When Iām out hunting in the woods, my hunting buddies know my code and where to find a backup key in case anyone needs to drive the vehicle in an emergency and Iām not conscious or my key is lost.
@Valhalla War Machine youāre absolutely right! Thieves are smarter than me (Iāve worked for years in computer security - the threat is real.).
I donāt question your use case at all. We have used such keypads for 20+ years and there are many great scenarios where they are great!
You might...
If your lawyer can prove that you were on a maintained, recognized road (heāll probably use published maps) then you might win your case. Maybe. But then, what kind of damage do you expect to happen when you are on a well maintained road?
(FYI SF is on a non-renewal binge for the least little...
Iām sorry but I usually have a policy against chasing ghosts like this. But tonight I feel like playing your game.
1. RTFM
2. Google how to change the battery.
3. Use the phone app.
4. Go to the dealer.
Note that Iām not inclined to give cheat codes to thieves.
