  1. Ford Emblem painting DIY

I intended to put a masking tape box around it, but my wife insisted on driving it while it was off. So I just eyeballed it from the before photos I had taken.

The grill comes off easily with four bolts and some clips. Then you have to drill out the heat stakes on the letters to remove them from the grill. Its pretty simple, a lot easier than trying to mask them because they are deep. Then I just glued them back on at the heat steak posts.

The emblem comes apart so no masking is required.
  4. Illinois Looking to Trade Handles

I am sure you could. I would imagine they are not inexpensive though, trading seems like the most cost effective option. I for sure don't need an extra set sitting around.

  7. Ford Emblem painting DIY

Okay, let me try to remember and answer a couple of the questions all at once here. 1. The Bronco is only held on with adhesive. I actually wanted to leave it off, but this is the wife's vehicle and she wanted it back on after I painted it black. 2. To remove both emblems I used a hair dryer...

  14. Ford Emblem painting DIY

Yeah, the solid black oval looks worse than the original chrome and blue LOL. I would have done the decal overlay from darksideracingart.com instead. I checked with them and measured to confirm that our Ford emblem is the same size as the 2021 Explorer so they have one that fits already.
  15. Ford Emblem painting DIY

I wanted to completely remove the Ford emblem, however there is a recess in the tailgate and two holes under it so I decided to paint it to match instead. I thought I would share the process in case anyone else wanted to do something similar. There are two clips and some 3M adhesive holding...
  16. Illinois Looking to Trade Handles

I have a Black Diamond in cyber orange and I would like to trade my three blue handles (and possibly the vent knobs depending on how easily they come off) for your yellow parts, I believe they are on the badlands trim? I'm in Illinois, but would be willing to just ship them.
