  1. Folks with 2 Reservations...

Several thousand? (as in $5K plus?) Okay now I'm curious why you think this? Have you looked at used manual jeeps? Any sort of source?
  2. Folks with 2 Reservations...

Yeah, I'm absolutely not concerned about the resale of a manual. I'm not doing this as an investment anyway, so it really doesn't matter. We are talking about the possible difference of 100s of dollars, it's really not something to stress about.
  3. Folks with 2 Reservations...

Moot point. I'll be selling my manual to the 20% of buyers looking for one. Just like Ford is doing by offering one in the first place.
  4. Folks with 2 Reservations...

Does that mean you'll be ordering a 4D, 2.3L, High, Soft top, just with the goal of getting it as fast as possible to flip? or Will you do a more popular build and possibly end up waiting a couple months anyway?
  5. Folks with 2 Reservations...

Maybe research what used 2020 Supras are going for. I don't know if you'll break even, but 6-12 months after launch there will still be more Bronco buyer's than there will be Broncos. I think there will be more demand than supply for maybe 2 years. That said, with hints of new colors and...
  6. Which of the Deadly Six is in your build?

I think the 2 door is only an issue because of the hardtop.
  7. Bronco Awards

Did you not see the "Best" part?
  8. Bronco Awards

Best value: Base (with MT/SAS for those waiting till 22MY) Best grill: Big Bend Best wheels: Black Diamond Best interior: Badlands/Black Diamond. Worst value: Big Bend Worst grill: Outer Banks Worst wheels: Sasquatch Worst interior: Wild Track (tie for close second: every single other model)
  9. Are you waiting for Mansquatch...

I want one but since I only plan on keeping this rig for 2 - 3 years anyway, waiting just 6 months doesn't make sense. (I think it will be closer to 12 months for the MT/Sas.) I'm going to do a BL/MT with either high or lux. It will hold it's resale well and in 2 - 3 if I love it I'll upgrade...
  10. Fastback Top Bronco 2-Door in Antimatter Blue Big Bend!!

Were these photos taken with a potato?
  11. Am I crazy, or is the Badlands trim the worst deal?

The BL is marketed to have a 2.3L/MT and no Sasquatch, once you depart from those options then yeah it's value starts to get wonky. I would have liked to see the WT be a closer build to the BL. i.e. same suspension (so not sas) but no sway bar dico but have the 2.7L auto. Keep the goat modes...
  12. Will the base bronco be enough for me?

Now that I think about it, its worth mentioning that a big part of what made the 88 Bronco II so capable for me was the fact that I didn't care if I bashed it up. That will be the limiting factor to any trim of new Bronco -- how willing the driver is to attempt obstacles.
  13. For those sticking with the 2021....why?

Because I only plan on keeping it for 2-3years anyway. Why wait? No matter what resale will be better than average. If for some reason Ford tanks the project (not going to happen) I'll have one.
  14. Will the base bronco be enough for me?

I took a stock 1988 Bronco II through hell and back, and the Base is 100% more capable than that. With that said if you want to do any serious off-roading you'll need better tires pretty much off the bat. If you really get into off-roading the next step would probably be a lift and even better...
  15. Bronco First Editions, how much over MSRP do you think they'll sell for.

For a little context a 1991 Bronco's median value is about $17,000 and the special 1991 silver anniversary edition is about $18,000. (According to a basic google search.) I'd say the FE is the equivalent to any typical "anniversary" edition appearance edition. It's not a performance edition...
  16. How to build an overlander knowing the weight?

Way back in high school I did a lot of "overlanding" with a Bronco II, back then we just called it car camping though. Anything can be an overlander, but there is a spectrum that goes from trail capability to livability. A 4x4 Sprinter van is going to skew heavy to the livability end while a...
  17. How to build an overlander knowing the weight?

Yet to be known if the 2.3 will get notably better MPG than the 2.7. My guess is the 2.3 will be 1-2 MPG better cruising, and dead even under load and/or off road.
  18. Build & Price Update from Ford – Q&A with Bronco Brand Manager

BL still allows for the MT and mid/high/lux packages correct?
  19. 2.7L PRICE INCREASES! - Time to switch from Badlands 2.7L to Wildtrak??

The goat modes are just marketing wizardry. You can put any bronco (with front and rear lockers) into "rock crawl mode," with the touch of like 3 buttons. The goat modes are all just variations of eco/normal/sport throttle sensitivity and shift points paired with traction modes. If your rig...
