It's outrageous that anyone should have to buy aftermarket tie rods for a vehicle that is built for off-roading. Very disappointing to hear this, on top of all the other news about Bronco quality issues.

So do you have a 4 door? Can the entire rear seat be removed? In one piece, or two? It doesn't sound like. a bad idea for someone who transports bikes more than people.

I just found some pics of FJ gray Mustangs. Sure enough. That color can look pretty different under different lighting. But it seems silly to call it different names.

My thoughts exactly! (except for the Tacoma. They look great, but a widely held opinion is that the seating position of those sucks unless you are short. I like the Ranger Tremor myself). The bike in that pic must be a 26 (26” wheels). No way would a ‘29 fit like that.

I asked the same question and someone on here was nice enough to teach me; the first two digits are the year, the next three are the day of the year. So 21150 would be the 150th day of 2021. There are probably calendars for it, but if you divide the 150 by 30 it would get you an idea - so that...

2 door Bronco?

I have wondered whether the bikes in that photo were 26” wheel bikes.

I have seen that photo, but I would like to know the size of bike. Many of us ride 29” wheel mountain bikes. They are considerably bigger than the older 26’.

I appreciate the suggestions. I think a 4-door Bronco may work, though. I had a 2013 Grand Cherokee that I could put my mountain bike in, as long as I took off the front wheel. So as long as a 4-door Bronco is as roomy as the GC it would work. It would be great if two bikes would fit in, but...

That can suffice, but it adds not only length but width to the vehicle, and the bikes are exposed. On longer trips that just isn’t as good as carrying them inside.

That’s definitely one drawback of roof mounts. Another is that lifting bikes, especially mountain bikes, to mount or dismount them is rough on people with back problems.

Have any of you new owners put bikes in your Bronco? 2 door or 4 door? One bike or two? Bike size (29" mountain bike, 26" mountain bike, road or gravel bike?)
