Now for all the greatness... The hinges are a huge improvement, brass inserts with steel pins. The stock ones are about the diameter of a pencil.
The adjustment of the tailgate and carrier system allows for up/down and tire depth. Everything is metal, so I do not have to worry about breaking...
Due to the beefier size of the new hinges, the tailgate area right behind the hinge is exposed and you can see where the stock hinges where. I did not realize this until I had it almost installed. I plan to touch them up latter. You can not see this area from behind the truck.
I got it installed. Both the tailgate and carrier adjustment system. Pretty easy, Turn Offroad's installation videos are well informed and helped out. I had to make adjustments to the brackets behind the taillight. This is no fun, but it was needed to ensure alignment was perfect after...
@kodiakisland So how you liking your tailgate reinforcement so far. I bought mine at the end of July a week before my bronco arrived, and I just now opened up my Turn reinforcement/carrier boxes. Great boxing! A little worried about how heavy they are. Plan on installing tonight.
Thank goodness I'm not the only one. I order parts from their site on 11 Aug. Got a conformation email in about 10 mins. However, 3 days later site under my order history show a cancelation (no email though). I call customer service and they could not find my order. I stated I am looking at...
@Aviator I kinda knew the general idea about Lux vs Lumens but your analogy was perfect! It cleared it up for me. I was also wanting to point out that that just because a light puts out more lumens does not mean it is brighter or lights up the target better.
Morimoto now offers replacement lens in yellow or white in 4 different patterns to include flood. https://www.morimotohid.com/4Banger-Replacement-Lenses?quantity=1
@voxel Tough call due to the $14k savings. I like having more than I may use, never know if you may needed it down the road. But then again, money is the most important thing to have more than you need. Good luck with you decision.
I sure hope everyone with our build week gets their broncos soon. I have had mine for just 10 days and I think I have polished it like 7 times!
@DillLightful Sorry to hear that. I have not heard of anything involving "test track." But many of us, including myself, went through the frustration of waiting weeks or months between production to built, and/or built to shipping, all with no explanation. I'm sure you already checked, but...
I got my bronco! Brought it home yesterday, 3 Aug. Already put hood struts and grab handles on. It did come with steel bash plate not plastic. So happy, I absolutely love this bronco! @Constraints I was gonna due PPF but it is so expensive. Still debating. I talk to two employs at my...
@Gatorfan123 Congrates on your Bronco. I do not think they are sending assembly line photos anymore, at least I did not get one and I remember reading in some threads about not getting these photos anymore.
So close...Arrived at my dealer just 30mins ago. I watched it come off the 18-wheeler. Sales rep did not know it was there yet. I just happen to drive by the dealership and saw the 18-wheeler with a Green OBX on it so I stopped by and watch them unload. Should be able to get it tomorrow.
@Just_Jay_Kng I know this is an old thread so please forgive me. I have my heart set on the 4bangers. I can't decided between NSC or the HXB (in yellow). I know the HXBs use white leds with yellow lens vice NSC using yellow leds. My question is do you like the yellow shade that the HXBs...
