Nice install. I have the same radio and mounted mine above the glove box. Plenty of room there and easy to run antenna and power wires over the footwell (behind radio) to the grommet on the driver’s side. I chose that location because it’s easier than removing the center console. I mounted my...
I’ve asked on multiple threads and received no answer about the light on the knob. Based on my experience and yours it looks like it does not light up (even with trailer connected) unless you push in on the knob. This contradicts what the user manual indicates and also differs from how the non...
@wilmerfjohnson Does the LED on your control knob stay on when a trailer is connected? From everything I have seen on the RedArc version it should, however on the Ford version it seems to only light up when you press the knob in. I’ve taken mine to the dealer and they are clueless. Just got a...
UPDATE: Bought a brake force meter and verified the unit is outputting correctly, took it to the dealer to troubleshoot and they couldn’t find anything, got a new replacement unit and it still behaves the same way. I can only conclude that the Ford OEM version only lights up when pushing the...
OK, so to be clear according to this video and the others I have seen the LED should be on (blue if in Proportional Mode) at all times when the trailer is connected not just when pressing the knob. Wasn’t sure if the OEM version worked the same as the RedArc version.
Mine does not stay on so...
@Mybbackpacker I installed the OEM controller like you. My LED only lights up when I press the control knob in. I was expecting for it to always be on when a trailer is connected. Does yours do the same?
I verified with a brake force meter that everything is wired and outputting correctly but...
I need help troubleshooting the proper LED function on the Ford OEM version of the RedArc Tow Pro Elite brake controller. I installed the Ford OEM version and when a trailer is connected the LED only shows up on the control knob when I press it in, as if to manually brake the trailer. From...

I’m probably going to hold out for Front Runner or Rhino Rack to come up with a solution. But we’ll see.
That was my take as well. Also not crazy about the piece above the windshield unless you are running a light bar. I prefer to keep all lights below the hood line for glare.
Here’s a new roof rack option by King for the 4 door hardtop. First one I’ve seen with a ladder on the side. Should be similar to Gobi’s external mount design.
On sale and taking preorders. More details and pics here…...
Per the manual you are supposed to read the level while cold. Where did you see anything about warming up the engine??
“CHECKING THE COOLANT
When the engine is cold, check the concentration and level of the coolant at the intervals listed in the scheduled maintenance information. See...
It shows an agreed to final sales price and is signed by management. I’m not an attorney but it’s a legally binding agreement in TX from those I’ve talked to. UPDATE: Spoke again with the GM at my dealer and he agreed to honor our deal.
