I remember we would tuck the seatbelts away between the seats just to get them out of the way. Think they were all just lap belts back then (60’s)? 70’s we started to see the shoulder belts come in to play? I was mostly a “backseat rider” in those days…I know those were just lap belts.
It’s a judgment call you’ll need to make for yourself based on your use case and how long you intend to own the vehicle.
OEMs battle with each other or match the other trying to 1-up…in this case 10k PM’s lower total cost of ownership from a maintenance expense. Is the engine that much better...
I had my first driving experience at ~14 years old (in the mid 80’s) in one of these 1G’s, 3 on the tree. shifter would tend to drop out of 2nd gear, so to maintain 2nd you would have to hold it up in place with your right hand, steer with left. From that day forward I was always a “Ford guy”...
Any update on in process order shipment estimates? 10 weeks still looking about right?
I cringe every time I park my Bronco at the grocery store…that eerie feeling that every stray cart in the lot will be blown right into the side of it, and think, “I can’t wait for my magnum Stirrups!
I’m not sure why you are dialed in on the Black Diamond…it is everything you said in OP that you don’t want…rear locker, full underbody steel skid plates, rocker protection bars. My point is, you may have pulled the trigger early on your Badlands, but you still don’t REALLY know what you want...
Keep what you got and drive it proudly! Unless you just like paying FL’s 6% sales tax a couple times over. And I assume you know there are trims more targeted to your use case…BD and BL are both targeting the off roaders, but are also the best looking (IMHO) So I get it.
Sounds like a batch of bad gas. Call your last fuel station before issue surfaced and ask if they have had other complaints. could be water in the fuel.
I’m in similar scenario, looking for front flaps for non sas black Diamond. What 2 options are you focused in on? I just ordered Gatorbacks, hoping they won’t extend past my fenders.
First at 1k, then no more and every 5k after that. If heavy use, will knock an interval down to 3k. Motorcraft filter, and motorcraft blend as recommended in OM.
