I'm familiar with this. A friend of mine went to order his 13 GT500 in kona blue, but the shipment of paint was destroyed or the factory making it was affected in some way. Regardless, Ford couldn't get Kona Blue, so they came out with Deep Impact Blue instead.

I see no reason to "spin" this in any way. They showed up to a grueling race with a new truck that by all accounts was performing well, until an accident caused a chain of other problems.

So I guess the Trophy truck that slid into the Bronco R broke the skid plate, which led to other damage?
