Good stuff. Thanks. I will no doubt be doing some more tests.
BTW... have you noticed this... my LSC have 22 clicks. The lowest one (-) is not really a click but a squish, so I count the first one that clicks as (+1).
Also, I can hear the JCO "clacking" sometimes with the window down when I...
The finally got the 8112's installed this past weekend.
First, I can definately see the increased lift. I went 1.4" in the front and 0.8" in the rear.
While I would not call the ride "cloud like", it does make a difference. Aired up, it felt more controlled and smoother on the streets with...

Enginerd is correct. The aluminum body would be damaged if you attempt to adjust the collar height if the spring is not compressed. As far as the back being ½ inch and the front being 1½ inch, my take is because these serve the same purpose as a leveling kit also.
Ah. That's probably true and the safe option for sure, but the 8112 shock body may limit the droop (Not sure). I'm reading that a 3" lift on stock CV's has been ok, but definitely in the "suspicious" range. Would need to replace the upper control arm too.
This is good stuff. I've decided to go this route and get the 8112's as they seem to be best to fit my needs. I also learned that we can run 37's on these once we add 2 inch tower spacers, so good to go.
I do too. That gap between the top of the tire and the fender looks about right. Mine (stock) seems too little. I was going to consider the 8112 with a 2 inch shock tower spacer, but after seeing yours, I don't think I will. Yours looks how it should.
btw... you heading to Pigeon Forge Friday...
Hey guys. I offroad every other week and typically air down to around 18psi. I then air up to 35psi.
Having said that, in the last 6 months or so I've been experiencing the "Tire Pressure Sensor Failure" warning on random wheels. Typically the left side, but not always. This happens aired down...
I use Armor All Tire Foam. It does not mess with the paint and does a great job, especially in the fender wells, of keeping black plastic black.
After a regular wash, I spray it on the plastic and let it sit. This "sitting" is when it does its magic. So, maybe an hour or even overnight. Then...
So, you spray WD-40 on your entire engine, Sir? That stuff is flammable, so I'm just curious about this.
To add to the thread, I always wash the engine when I see dust. I do not pull the wand on the pressure washer, but let it spray lightly. I do this on every engine and never had an issue.
Are not all vehicles overpriced these days? What something costs is relative based on what people are willing to pay. I agree though. The Raptor is awesome, but not much more than $70k-$75k.
