Looks good, but a pocket knife along that top edge and anyone with some force could spin that lock open, as the whole lock assembly would just spin until it unlatched.
A quick spot weld from the inside would solve that though.
Yet a lightweight, handheld crowbar would just bent that metal and...
I have a 23 built dec. 21st and it doesn't have it on the app but it shows on the sticker. I planned on calling my dealership and seeing if they can "fix" it.
On my Ford Pass app
Vehicle Tab
Safety & Security
Security Alert <------ this is where i set it to alert me when doors open

That's just horrible, people .. :(
Ford Perimeter seems to be standard on 2022+ models. In the Ford Pass app, i set my alarm to notify me when any door or gate is opened. I set this when I stay at hotels or am away from my vehicle. Then make sure my phone is not on do-not-disburb mode...
Mesh is great and non-mesh is great. The kid and wife do not like mesh, my seats at the golf course do not like mesh (after 4 hours). I like mesh, but I also like canvas.
Buckskin is a sweet color, hoping one of the guys will post pic's soon, as two were sent out to Eruption Green's.
Both...
Much appreciated Adam! I built it for myself, and it was so bullet-proof I decided to share :)
It's the same fabric that is used on river jet boats here in Idaho blazing up the Snake River, so it's overkill for the Bronco, but it's what it deserves. Some video's on the website of going 68 MPH...
I dont think the reaching in would be too bad. Honestly you wont be doing it that often, and probably very rarely.
I checked out the spider web shade site... and the Gearshade looks like it's much much better quality. The spidershade looks like it's just rolled mesh and stitched.
The...
If you undo one or two of the side bungees, you can reach your hand to the middle to reach levers in the center.
i would also recommend NOT following their installation instructions (unless you want large gap that allows the sun in at the front).
Instead install it how I install my canvas...
Agree. I believe Ford's is Besttop, and it has that metal bar across it and it flaps like crazy I'm heard. I have the canvas as my wife and son did not like the sun that came through the mesh... also when i parked at golf course for 4 hours, my seats would get blazing hot even with the mesh...
Some protect from most rain. However anything mesh will allow water through. So canvas will protect.
Here's a pic of the water repellancy of the one I have
Solid does not make horrible noise... only crappy ones do.
Here is me going 68 MPH with mine, and having a regular volume conversation. No flap, no noise.... and i did NOT install all the bungee straps. :)
You will need to modify their install.
DO NOT install it as they say. Instead remove the bronco bolts and hard mount the front with finger screws.
Then pull it back. This get's rid of the gap. Basically it mimic's my canvas bimini.
It also makes it 100% tool-less. When you want to latch...
I agree, Gearshade is better.
The stitching around the edges, and better/more grommets gives is a tighter snug fit. The quality of their product is great.
I have this one here, if anyone is interested. I decided to go full sun blockage and do canvas. So selling gearshade at 1/2 price and will...
It almost looks as if the color coating or spray or finishing process on that middle panel was in the opposite direction of others.
Just as if blades of grass reflect light and give lawn stripes, it's like they sprayed the wrong direction or the mold is angled opposite of others.
@50 and Fabulous they say my transmission will not be off back order until april 28. So i sit here on day 96 w/o my bronco and counting and most likely another 30-45 days.
Well at least you have parts coming toward your bronco. I'm w/o my bronco on day 93 now, waiting on transmission. (which come off backorder April 28).
So far have owned bronco 228 days and bronco has been at shop 112 of those days.
Count your blessings
