Antimatter blue is a fitting name, that color really shifts depending on lighting!
These two colors are my top two choices so the side by side is greatly appreciated!
The intake manifold on the 2.7 is a centerline, instead of wrapping to the side, so you can reach the plugs on both banks without pulling it.
yeah, I like how the 2.7 is set up (though I wish it used a traditional filter instead of the new cartridge and o rings). The filter is front and center...
I said don’t quote me on that ? (sorry, couldn’t resist the bad joke...)
in other news, yes on the Jeep JK 3.6 you have to pull the upper half of the intake manifold in order to reach 3 of the plugs, this is what I was thinking when OP asked about taking the top end apart...
Does taking the top end apart mean the plastic covers? I was always under the impression it meant valve covers/manifolds/etc. and none of that has to come off to do plugs and coils on either engine.
I thought OP was asking if they needed to pull off the intake to do plugs (like you do on the...
You doing okay? Seems like a minor thing to get so worked up over....
(Also, by the time you posted this rant I had edited my post already saying to reference your comment instead on the ranger oil change.... )
1. The 2.7 it is on top of the engine towards the front, super easy, but it is a canister, replace the filter, and o rings, then just make sure you use a torque wrench to re-install.
edit: see next comment by @Rick Astley about ranger/2.3 oil change.
2. both engines seem to have the coils and...
I do like that Area 51, that being said ill probably end up with antimatter because basquatch...
(I just have a hunch that a v6 Sasquatch black diamond might be out of budget ? and I can’t bring myself to pay $5,000 extra for big bend to get only the color, for that price I can get it wrapped...
That thing looks epic, but price wise for me that’s a non-starter (besides, I’d take a bronco over a pickup any day). Even if I was in the market, the almost $20k difference in starting price between that and the raptor would probably rule it out (But I realize I definitely do not need a 700+...
Good catch, it looks like that’s the case. The latch we saw on the 4 door would be visible from this angle. I highly doubt Ford would develop 2 different methods of removing rear windows too (but I’ve been surprised before...).
If the 2 door can’t have the rear windows removed, personally I...
looks like that is a new variant of the accessory rail... (here’s the old one)
this new one looks like it may be 1913 picatinny spec? That would be a pretty robust system with a lot of existing accessories
Edit: just noticed @Squatch beat me to commenting this by a few seconds. ?
Currently about half way through a bottle of Basil Hayden’s (favorite so far) and finishing up a bottle of Jefferson’s Ocean (to be totally honest, not as smooth as I expected for the price)
I know some had thought of the idea of the dealer having individuals (or employees) reserve and order for dealers, and then not accept delivery leaving that dealer with inventory, but I believe @BroncoDealer said that Ford was watching for any shenanigans and wasn’t having any of it.
(At least...
Given the recurring discussion on the 2.7mt topic, I figured I’d quote my previous explanation as to why Ford isn’t likely to ever offer it.
TL;DR
It would cost Ford more than they would make by offering it, so it isn’t financially feasible from a production standpoint
I’m well aware, thus my other comment in this thread saying it’s locked to outer banks or above ?
I just got lazy and didn’t edit my original post lol.
I am still curious if I can get my dealer to order just the top though....
It’ll be just fine. The motor is already detuned for longevity. Ford is confidant enough in it that they even offer a tune that lets you keep your warranty. It’s not some high-strung super stressed motor, it is well within it’s operating envelope and I’d expect it to go at least 250k with...
It’s just too bad you have to go up to outer banks to get it on the 2 door. (Ford removed the modular body painted 2 door options off the website on all 2 door trims, leaving only the shadow black modular one on outer banks or higher, hopefully this was a mistake and will be corrected, but...
Haven’t gone through all the posts yet, but first impressions
1. Why on earth did they do separate stampings for the carpet vs rubber floors? How on earth is that cost effective? I suspect that the aftermarket will now Be the go-to for rubber floor conversions.
2. Bummer about the removable...
