Running away as fast as you can would seem to be the prudent choice.
Why would he have a separate "list of people already waiting to buy your Bronco", when all they have to do is go online and reserve one...at any Ford dealer? Besides the fact that he's got nothing if you move your reservation...
More delays are a potential help to Jeep. There's no way that Ford would purposely screw up their launch advantage.
One of the bigger problems, with a potential 12 month wait time, is the variability of material and labor costs. Surely Ford factored this in when they announced trim prices...
I‘ve had diesels two in fact. While they got good fuel mileage, high fuel cost, higher engine cost, Bluedef requirement, and constant emissions equipment issues made them just not worth the effort.
With the 2.7 engine starting out at 400 ft/lbs of torque before tuning, not sure a diesel would...
Been there through the Jeep YJ, TJ, and the JK. In my opinion, and mine only, Jeep has done precious little but put coil springs on the TJ, a minivan motor in the JK, and now a long in the tooth Pentastar V6 in the JL. And Jeep never misses an opportunity to jack up prices for all this...
Understood.
Just trying to pick everyone's brain to see how they arrived at their decisions. Always willing to admit when I'm looking at something the wrong way.
You did a better job of laying out the BD vs. BL quandary than I did.
Actually, the High Level Instrument Panel in the BL is making me do a slow burn. What are the lower trims getting, retro idiot lights?
Right now Sas Base is looking better and better. Ford may have just outsmarted themselves.
Still $6K is a lot of extra $$$ for shocks, grille, and aluminum wheels. The display would appear to be the same.
You're adding FSB disconnect, locking front axle, automatic On-Demand 4x4, and LT285 instead of LT265 tires, and shocks, grille, and aluminum wheels.
Now if you add sas, it all...
The difference between the BD and the BL seems to be the FSB disconnect, locking front axle, automatic On-Demand 4x4, and LT285 instead of LT265 tires.
It‘s hard to see $6K of value for those 4 items.
The JK‘s Sixth gear can barely handle the Rubicon tires (shown on the TJ) at highway speeds. Forget any sort of mild grade.
the TJ 5spd can easily handle the Rubicon tires. Of course the in-line 6 torque could have a lot to do with it as well. The TJ in-line 6 may be very old school, but the...
This is a bit nuts.
Apparently there are dealers that:
1.) Offer X Plan pricing
2.) Won't offer X Plan pricing
3.) Will offer X Plan pricing if allowed by Ford
1.) How can you offer X Plan pricing if Ford hasn't decided if the Bronco is available for X Plan pricing?
2.) How can a dealer...
It doesn't make sense that some dealers accept "X-Plan" and others don't. Unless the dealer rejects X-Plan on all models that it is available, the understanding is the dealer cannot pick and choose which models they'll accept X-Plan on.
So far, no deals in the Nashville area.
Paying MSRP (and possibly more) to your local dealer when you don't have to, just isn't logical. If you're wanting to support your city, town, etc., then put the cash you saved into a local charity, Habitat-for-Humanity, etc. It will go a lot further...
