I don't think anyone failed. I love and own many classic cars from the 50s to the 80s. Some are wonderful machines, some are not. Some are simpler, some are not (vacuum lines in an 80s V8!). Expectations have changed and so have cars. Buyers expect a lot from their cars. They break, handle and...
So I was curious, for those who have had engine failures/replacements. What was the final outcome of the RAV, and was it at all what you expected.
I am in the middle of it, and RAV team has been much better than FCR, and the contact from Executive Offices (Karen Jones mentioned by some other...
Mine did the same - it did start barely, I did manage to get it out of where it was to a spot where it could be towed. That was back in January 8th....still waiting or trying to figure out options.
I think TX like most states its 30 days not working or repaired - I wonder if the fact that the part is technically not available, or that you potentially have a loaner - has any effect in the day counting for the process. You may want to bring it up with Ford Customer Service, as in any case...
That is great. I do the same, and try to keep a few around. I can tell you that having owned a wide range of cars, the Bronco is the first one to leave me stranded with a blown engine.
I do hope it gets resolved. I can tell you that the difference with Land Rover is that they would have you in a Loaner for a similar car and deliver the other one to your house once fixed. I have a blown 2.7, and no idea, its been over a week and nothing. When i asked corporate if they had...
So does anyone know what actually Ford Customer Relations does ??
So far, regarding my Bronco, they only seem to communicate with the dealer and ask them questions i can ask myself.
FCR asked the dealer if they had a loaner ( it is not even my selling dealer ) and they said no - so FCR offers...
I did contact FCR - they needed to investigate and i am waiting on an update. What are they providing for rentals ? It has been already 7 days and not even that is dealt with ...
I 100% agree. Obviously Ford has many controls and I am sure some heads are rolling somewhere. Regardless of statistics, these are operational risks, and thus cost money, and while unlikely they will cost sales, they are surely providing unwanted noise. The key here is how the handle this...
The reality is that all of the statistical analysis, while interesting, is meaningless to the customer that shelled $50+k for a new car, which is now inoperable.
in addition you don’t know how long it will be and at best you might get some reliable Kia rental, and all because of a basic...
I wonder what information are you using to state it is not an issue. If you are a dealer, it makes sense, you are getting paid twice for the car, for selling it and for installing a. New engine.
I am not worried, it is not my daily driver, I am pissed. I have owned many cars up and down the...
Car was cruising, probably 50mph, just getting off a bridge into the highway when the noise started, it kept going, it wasn’t until i pulled over that it died.
So similar story to all the other ones here, car ordered in Jan 21, 4dr Black Diamond, October build, delivered early November, car has 1700 miles - Driving in a highway, racket starts, manage to pull over, wouldn't restart.
Dealer called, dropped valve, engine replacement needed.
I was on...
