I would also pay $1000 to get it now. My build date is 8 weeks out and keeps getting pushed out and $1000 would be fair for me knowing I actually had one in hand.
Have an agreement in writing for MSRP. You need to go and talk to the dealer ASAP and pray they will sell it to you for MSRP. I doubt it at this point but I hope Im wrong.

I just emailed my dealer and asked if there was a change this morning and he emailed me right back. I was only told by ford of the first delay. The second and third one came from my dealer. Sad actually.
I have a OW, 2 door, BB, 2.7, sig lights, LSD, roof rack on order. Was going to change it in Mid April (adding SAS) and then got the build date email so I couldn't change since I had a vin. I'm very lucky to have a build date BUT I really wish I had changed and added SAS even if I had to wait...
My break in will be just like I do on my race motors. Warm up, drive it hard, accel and decel varying RPM and get everything seated in quickly. Best way IMHO. Has worked very well for me.
