its normal on unfinished iron / steel. some of the drivetrain parts are made that way with no painted surface finish. If you dont like it, then give it some clean up and coat it with paint.

I converted to 22 MY BD and am keeping the modular bumper. I think style wise, it looks trim and a lot less blocky then the capable. you can always add fog lamps. just my opinion. everyone has their own style in mind.

i want to get some shiny stainless steel bolts and paint my sasquatch ring black. The contrast like the wildtrack in the Ford sales photos is the look i am after. I wonder if the standard bolts are stainless and can be polished some?

I like the antenna. having an old school connection is not a bad thing. besides, it unscrews. I like the idea of getting the short one for 90% of the time and install the long one for long trips or in rural areas.
