  1. Big Power for the 2.7L Bronco: New Garrett PowerMax Turbo + PandaTune Combo

Having a sleeper is totally underrated- especially if it retains street manners. Walk softly and carry a big stick
  2. Big Power for the 2.7L Bronco: New Garrett PowerMax Turbo + PandaTune Combo

The "No true Scotsman" fallacy absolutely ruins automotive passion and has lead to annoying cliques- it's why I dropped out and dissociated from the annoying Mustang crowd that couldn't understand why I don't abuse my cars like they do (21 years owning Mustangs, 0 crowds hit). People need to...
  3. Big Power for the 2.7L Bronco: New Garrett PowerMax Turbo + PandaTune Combo

You mean, "things" have multiple uses, and it's entirely acceptable for people to use them to suit their individual needs? What a concept! :)
  4. Big Power for the 2.7L Bronco: New Garrett PowerMax Turbo + PandaTune Combo

I could walk over the rocks that some people have spent $100,000+ to roll over.
  5. Hood bug deflector

Looks very similar to the Aeroskin 2, which I've had for a while now. Honestly, it works great. It cut down on bugsplosions by around 90% if I had to take a wild stab at a number. I leave a country mile between myself and any other vehicle I am behind, so rocks are rarely an issue. If a...
  6. 🛠️ What's the Best Interior Upgrade You've Made?

I had a "ship it anyways" model with the sub-delete due to the chip shortage. Worst audio out of any vehicle I ever owned. I took the advice of a few posters on here and did the full Kicker swap, all speakers, 200.4, 500.1, larger rear pods, 6.75" mid and a 10" down-firing sub in the cargo...
  7. Octane in 2.7 EcoBoost V6

I run 89/91 mid-grade in the 2.7l, never had a problem and I'm extremely gentle to it 10.3:1 compression ratio and 16psi yields an effective CR of 21.5:1. All of my former racing experience tells me this should be a minimum of 93 octane and a lot of prayer, but my guess is that the direct...
  8. Windshield protection

I leave a country mile between myself and the next vehicle. The problem really only occurs when some bum decides to wedge in and slam their brakes. The worst offenders for this are usually Altimas, but the dumb "stance-trucks" (dumb offset wheels and exposed rubber-band tires on a pickup...
  9. Windshield protection

Hood deflector + Increase following distance/stop tailgating other vehicles Everyone says "I don't tailgate!" but their front end tells a different story haha
  10. Wrap cost?

I have a few friends that do wrap services, they generally advertise in the $3k-$6k range depending on the vehicle and the wrap material/grade. With that said, as much as I can respect the workmanship and skill required to do it, I will never be a proponent of wrapping.
  11. is it worth trading up to the raptor?

Everyone's definition of "worth" is different. Would I pay double for trim exclusivity? Absolutely not. Are there features only available on a Raptor that I would use daily? No Would an extra few HP be worth double the price? No Do I off-road enough to need the more expensive drivetrain...
  12. Borla Cat Back or Axel Back

Here's a handy-dandy flow chart: Is it a V8? Yes -> Go for it, either will be fine No -> Don't waste your money Man I wish Ford had crammed a Coyote in the Bronco, but here we are. Ecoboosts are decent little engines, and I have never had an issue with my 2.7l. But, they sound absolutely...
  13. I made it to the 100,000 mile club :)

You are right, it used to be texting, now it's mindless brain-rotting scrolling. It's not just kids doing it either, it's everyone. Right when you think you found a driver that isn't glued to a screen, they pull out a phone. Most of the drivers around here look like the South Park WoW guy...
  14. I made it to the 100,000 mile club :)

The Charleston area isn't as bad- it's just very congested. I'm stuck in the Greenville area unfortunately. If interest rates drop a little more, I'm out. I tried to make it work, but there are too many textaholics and day-drunks to attempt to raise a child here.
  15. Tagging another Bronco

Well said. I get they're just trying to brighten someone else's day, but some of us are introverts of introverts. The moment I leave the driveway, I want to be avoided in all ways possible.
  16. I made it to the 100,000 mile club :)

Believe me, if it was my choice, I'd keep one vehicle for 20-30+ years. Simply maintain it. But, to do that around here would require the horribly irresponsible population of South Carolina to put down the crack pipes, booze, phones, etc and drive properly. The ones we sold voluntarily were...
  17. Tagging another Bronco

I don't touch other people's property. And I'm not a furry. (hence why I didn't fit in with the Jeeper crowd)
  18. How to run wire from pass rear cargo to exterior?

I designed a few wire looming systems for OEMS years ago. The easiest thing you can do is go to Hobby Lobby or some craft store, get oversized knitting hooks, use a Dremel to carve out a cavity for wires/connectors. Lube that thing up with dielectric grease or wire pull lube, fire it through...
  19. New Outer Banks - what can’t I do?

    Extremely well said.
  20. Bronco beeping even with engine shut down

If it's an electronic hum/whine for a second or two, followed by an actuator sound, that's just the stupid key proximity sequence that drains your battery. I notice it happens with my Bronco whenever I open the door from my garage to the hallway where we keep our keys.
