  1. Comments you received about your Bronco

My best friend rode in my 2dr yesterday while Christmas shopping. Much easier to get around in Wichita, KS versus her Washington, DC. Said she loved it and now wants one of her own. So, we will see. She thought a 4dr would suit her. Of course she doesn't understand the moar door versus real...
  2. Good cleaner for wheel fender flares.

For me, I remove flares and apply good thick foam coating of Scrubbing Bubbles. Wait a few minutes and then use a potato brush to scrub. Finally, a good rinse. The worst stuff I've removed is manure slop from cattle trucks dumping it while turning onto the interstate on-ramp.
  3. Trail Etiquette

Sadly, this rule gets broken all the time. Taking a different route to avoid a mudhole or obstacle creates a new social trail that everyone then takes. Ugh.
  4. Trail Etiquette

I agree, usually uphill right-of-way. But also, a case-by-case basis. Who has the best spot to pull out of the way? After getting to trailheads that become multi-use single tracks and start hiking, I have stepped aside to let the motorcycles or bicycles stay on the power to keep going uphill.
  5. Rear Diff skid plate and rear shock skid plates? Anyone have experience with Next Venture Motorsports?

In a different thread, I posted a pic of the FP rear shock mount skid plates. Haven't had a chance to test them out. But I had previously bent one of those mount tabs on a trail in Colorado. So, I saw the need.
  6. 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ prototype world premiere

Well, it does say "Toyota" on the front. Shrug.
  7. Octane in 2.7 EcoBoost V6

Up here north of Wichita, I filled up with 100% 93 from Casey's General Store. A couple of months ago they relabeled the pumps so now the 93 has 10% E in it.
  8. Tagging another Bronco

A little late to this party, but here is this. A woman and her dog Maple gave this to me while I was parked at the top of Wilkerson Pass on Hwy 24 in Colorado last summer. She just wanted to say hi to a fellow Bronco owner. Had Velcro and I attached it to the headliner above my head. Cool.
  9. Air filter change--found this in the bottom of air box

I did find many dead bugs and one whole butterfly. Plus, a bunch of feathers from a Sparrow I hit awhile back. The filter pleats weren't uniform on the factory air filter. Some tight gaps and some wide open gaps. Glad I did the change.
  10. Air filter change--found this in the bottom of air box

Thanks. the retainer is present at the front of the intake. I will check other spots.
  11. Air filter change--found this in the bottom of air box

Changed air filter this morning and found this retainer clip in the cone depression at the bottom of the airbox. Looks brand new. Leftover from production?
  12. Today, Ford Performance becomes FORD RACING (again)

Wasn't there a Ford Motorsports division back in the 80s?
  13. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

I wondered about that since a lot of guys have been showing pics with the cover off. I don't know how much would be picked up off the bottom, or missed, pumping out through the fill hole.
  14. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Yeah, they left the rear diff cover on and just sucked the fluids out.
  15. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Front diff, TC and rear diff service done at the dealership. 13k mileage. They didn't remove covers but instead used a pump device to suck out fluids. Light metallic sheen on fill plugs is what they said. Filled all back up to spec.
  16. So many posts about MIC tops with stress cracks, anyone out there have an older Bronco without cracks?

July 22 delivery. 13k mileage. Garaged. I really don't want to look for problems. Don't worry, be happy here in KS.
  17. Ford Performance Hood Struts installed

Good decision. Did my BD last year. No regrets.
  18. I don't want an open rear end

True. I turned the rear lockers on before starting up the Pomeroy Lake trail. Knew what to expect. Didn't have on when starting up Tincup Pass trail. Didn't think necessary. Surprised that I spun in some loose sand around some basketball sized rocks. Turned on and went on my way.
