I do not agree that dealers are customers of Ford in a way that Ford has no control over them. Ford undoubtedly has extensive control over its dealerships. As for a contract, there are many ways to establish a contract. At its core, you need consideration. When a dealer sends me an order...
I know this topic has been discussed a few times. However, the ability for dealers to hold reservation holders hostage at purchase by forcing the buyer to accept ADM up charges or forgo the order is wrong. We made the reservation for the Bronco. We spec’d it out and placed the order. We...
Picked up mine yesterday. Sales rep was great. Didn’t appreciate the manager. They wanted an additional $5K on top of the price. Basically, take it or we sell it. (They didn’t say that but that is what it felt like). Not happy about that part of the experience. Pretty crappy, especially...
At the dealer now trying to buy my bronco. That inserted a $5K up charge claiming that is what the market demands. For cancelled orders they are adding $10K. Seems wrong to order your Bronco and then get an up charge because Ford can’t produce the vehicle fast enough.
Tracker was pretty accurate. My estimate delivery date was 8/10 but my in transit was 11 days. Shipped on 8/2 so delivered on 8/11. Tracker updated pretty quick for each stage, including delivered. Palapps never worked.
For the record, I posted a mildly supportive comment for Levine and then an hour later I got a text saying my Bronco arrived at the dealer... Coincidence? Tomorrow will be a good day. Sorry for those in the wasteland. My view is now tainted.
I think I fall in the “Why are you crushing Mike?” club. The lack of communication is very likely because the fact change every day. They do not control the entire supply chain. They also can’t just terminate anticipated suppliers and replace them like a contractor. The rapid changing facts...
It was 11 days estimated but that seems to have been based on a 7/29 date. The forum tracker says it shipped on 8/2. Not sure where the forum tracker is pulling its data. I always assumed it was from the Ford tracker
My bronco was shipped 8/2 according to the tracker. It was supposed to be delivered 8/4 to 8/10. The estimated delivery was 8/10 and now that estimated date is removed from the ford tracker but the header still says 8/10...
Nice work going camping. I have a small camping trailer (Escapade Backcountry) and will be taking it camping as soon as I get mine. Hoping for that call any day now...
My tracker says August 10th for estimate delivery. The Ford Built email said August 4-10 as the window. I am in Maryland. Wondering if I get a call from the dealer without a shipment update by tracker or email.
