I could be mistaken here, but I’m pretty certain those are only intended to protect the leading edge of your hood from rock chips in the paint, nothing to do with your windshield.

a parking garage with less than 5’-6” of head height is a bit difficult to believe. Not saying there aren’t short garages out there, but standard head height clearance is 7’-0”, and ADA accessible portions of the garage must be 8’-2” of head height. No way that 65” is accurate.
Installed a pair of RCI 20° rock sliders. Very impressed with the quality of these and boy are they solid. I’m a big fan of the design as well with the kickout to the rear of the sliders, should help with navigating large obstacles whenever I find myself rock crawling.
