Anyone have a favorite shop (with time available) to install New front springs? I can get the struts out, but don't have a way to get them apart and get the new springs in. Picture for why I need new springs...

I just ran a tape measure straight from the back left corner to the front right corner, and it is about 8 feet 8 inches. I assume a fly rod is very flexible, so running it around the right side of the passenger headrest or up to the roof and down will get you enough room

there is definitely more wind noise than with no rack. I had the stock rack off for too long to remember if is different.
of course it adds weight to the top, but I do not think it would effect the effort required to remove the top.

I did it by myself, it would help to have step ladders on both sides.
Everything needs to be loose until you get all four brackets bolted together and under the lip on the top. The lip on the left front was tighter than the right front, so I had to pry it up a little with a big screwdriver...
I am also considering the pak rax or the part from Valkyrie. They don't publish the width of their rack, to see if I could modify this rack to add either of those parts. as a future option to carry fuel jugs, or recovery boards.
for now, The JCR rack does exactly what I wanted, a short rack...
