I wanted a soft top but in my area not a viable option due to crime.
Hardtop is a pita same reason the center section had to stay home.
found a rack that holds center section and problem solved. Drive mostly open air and secure it for parking in bad areas or rain
Installed the rear rack today. someone asked how it clears the garage... My garage is 7' opening with the door cranked full up. With the Sasquatch I still clear with at least 2".... least I know not to lift more than 1.5" lol
Oh, someone else asked about a whistle. could only do 75 due to...
I’ve got a one up rack with zero wiggle has internal tightening.
Bought 3 different anti rattle for the hitch extender that all sucked. Last ditch attempt bought this cheap curt and now everything is rock solid!
only drawback is can’t lock it so need to put the rack in the Bronco due to people...
I had a 2005 Tahoe bought brand new. In less than 6 months it had total intermittent brake failure, one time a pedestrian leaped to get outta the way!
Chevy could not duplicate it so I ended up meeting the area rep.
I handed him the keys, said drive your family around for the weekend…. If you...
The seal it was, thanks. I suspect it’s the cause of everyone’s problem with it. Should be totally sealed and this thread would not exist.
It did not look displaced but soon as I pulled it from the connector works like butter.
I just siliconed it shut. If I ever need to pull the bumper I’ll...
It looks like the other side that still works fine
I’ll try it again and if no dice I was thinking about buying a new one but that would require splicing (I think) and if I’m gonna do that maybe look for an alternative 6 pin connector. Something quick and easy
This is odd. Pulled the bumper again and just a few days ago the clip slid back in easy.
not so much now. Tried more WD40, cleaned the heck out of it with electrical cleaner and nope. Tired a little die electric grease, nothing worked. Pins are straight.
I figured mine out. All other doors stayed unlocked.
When driving my doors autolock. When I exit they Auto Unlock… but…..
While it’s unlocking I am exiting and fat thumbs push it locked again. Now I keep my hand away from the lock and or check it if I bump it. Just poor design location.
case...
Old thread but google search found this for the win, snuggled 20 minutes shy of breaking the clip and gave up.
Read this thread and a quick shot WD 40 for the win!
Just looked it up. It’s been around since 1980.
What I didn’t know is that soap will shorten UV protection and they recommend 30-45 days
I’m willing to bet that TW graphene / ceramic paste wax will work. Beads up water 6 months for me and works on anything
Won’t restore but for those with good to new covers….
An old man told me 20 some years ago about 303 aerospace.
I was going through Weber grill covers every few years with UV. I use 303 2 times a year and had grill cover 20 some years and still looks decent
