I still donāt understand why Ford thinks building a 100k trophy truck that they will sell a couple thousand of is better for business than building a PHEV to compete with the Jeep 4xE that they can build hundreds of thousands of over the next few years while they still have the tax credited...
Found the #Juice account.
j/k, I think I saw a render of this based on leaked pictures of Bronco prototypes being produced on the assembly line.
check some of those posts in winter/spring of 2020.
I heard it from a source who used to work high-up for Ford, head of Ford trucks and SUV Haptics. They recently retired but still have their ear on the proverbial tracks...
Ford (through this person) borrowed my ā74 Bronco for almost a month in Summer 2017 to play around with and tune at Silver...
Iāve also heard from someone who works internally at for Ford that the future Mod top wonāt be backwards compatible to previous (ā21, ā22) model years, something about how it clamps to the windshield frame will be different altogether.
This was apparently a major why reason no production MOD...
Early Broncos get suprisingly good mileage, my ā74 with a 1ā lift on 30ā tires can routinely get about 17 MPG on flat highways with no headwind (at 55-60 mph, She gets death wobbles if I take her much faster). I too have a 2006 Toyota slurper, manual 6 sp. -I swear thereās a hole in the gas...
For me, itās all about color and interior options for the Heritage. If itās Brittany Blue or Yellowstone itās shut up and take my money If not, I might go 2023 raptor or maybe just basesquatch and a F150 lightning for the same price as the Bronco raptor.
@BadlandsJP I have the Kid Trax Early Bronco, but sadly my kid outgrew that 12V Battery fairly quickly. It got so bad that even on a full charge it couldnāt carry her up a 2% grade on pavement, donāt even ask about on grass.
Do yourself a favor and order the ML toys level 3 upgrade kit to put...
I understand where both sides are coming from, but let's not dance on this poor guy's grave. He made a mistake in calling out the Granger folks, and should have bit his tongue, but he is right in that at some point the Granger group should have thought about the allocation issue. Classic...
Is it normal for so many people to write 5-star reviews within a 30 minute period?
I checked my local ford dealership and they get reviews at a pace of one or two every few days (but have almost twice the cumulative reviews of DCH).
Seems fishy, like they're using 5-star review generator code...
I expect to see EV's for most fleet vehicles and hydrogen coming along (10 years later) for consumer vehicles. If we had better (any) high speed rail we wouldn't need the hydrogen.
In anticipation of a significant gas tax hike before I plan to sell my bronco, I personally am dropping down to...
Definitely 2023. Iām hearing rumors from the Ford team that itās going to be pricey but worth the wait, much, much better than the MIC top. I was specifically advised NOT to get a 2021/22 soft top and wait for the MOD top in 2023 because it wonāt be backwards compatible.
is this confirmed by Ford or just a rumor by dealers/enthusiasts? Those of us that made reservations before the Sept. 30th cutoff but put in a 99 priority code for 2020 should be given the option to switch our reservation to special editions in addition to the original trim lineup.
im not, unfortunately. FYI the previous MOD top is/was priced at $4850 retail, it was just a $3k upgrade over the soft top in build and price. The my neighbor (vacation home) is on the interior design/ride quality team and knows Iām holding out for a white painted MOD. Thereās probably a $2k...
