Base ground clearance is 8.4", BD stock tires are actually only 1.1" bigger than base, so you only get an extra .5" vs the base just from the tire size difference. Math still doesn't quite lineup but stock Badlands ground clearance is definitely around 10", BD is about 9"...

Can't speak to lifts/mods but for maintenance, Colchin automotive in Arvada has been absolutely amazing for us, and a few of the techs there do in fact go 4 wheeling
