Well done! Must be nice to have that completed and thanks for sharing your journey.
Where did you order the extra clips from?
Did you end up using an Aux switch as a "master"? I like that idea. If not, what do you think it would take to do that?
Beautiful! Looks really sharp. I didn't think I was into the red but yours looks great.
Curious - will the AR DNA badges "stick" on the ceramic well? I assume they go on with 3m tape or something similar. How will you prepare the surface? Did you think about putting them on first and then...
I've heard about putting on a small piece of clear PPF before attaching the "sticky" items - like these rocker panels or the hood deflector. The thought is that it would be easier to remove the item and clean up without damaging the paint. Thoughts on that (everyone)?
Appreciate the your input and 604. All points are well taken.
First blush, I think I like the Xpel Amor. But I really like how these molded pieces match the fenders and hood deflector. I don't have a local here (on Vancouver Island) who does LineX so that I can't see that option. Originally...
Thanks for posting this option. I was unaware. Now I have 3 to consider. (I find myself spinning in circles with every mod and all the options o_O)
Looks simple enough, durable, and can be painted. I would worry about water sitting in behind. Do you know if that is a problem?
Do you know...
Hey 604, did you ever complete this mod with the LineX? Sorry, can't recall from your build journal.
I just received my 2023 VB 2 Dr Badlands. I also want to cover my rocker panels and also at the same height as you were suggesting. Given my VB colour, I was always going to do a matte black...
Great video - thanks so much. Very helpful. The dealer installed hitch instructions pretty much spells it out for what we are trying to accomplish. I feel confident now thanks to this thread.
That is extremely helpful! I found the access on both sides and am very pleased I now know about this! I had somehow missed this in all my reading.
Thanks for the insight.
Thanks. When you say "the wire runs along the rear of the cargo bay" - I'd like to see where that is! How is it popping off those rear quarter panels?
I also have Lux.
I have a manual - if I remember correctly, I do not have the same firewall grommet option as an automatic. I'll have to...
I finally took delivery last week. Build date was March 31/23 and yes it took that long to get to me! Don't ask because nobody has any answers. It also had 106 km (65 miles) on it which was slightly bothersome. Moving on...

Beautiful looking truck!
What is the sheen on the Everglade wheels? Is it closer to a gloss or flat finish? I have not seen them in person and different photos are playing tricks on my eyes!
Thanks
Thank you and I appreciate your effort to take the photos. Those show what I wanted to see. It does help me - now I know I need a combo of the two!!! So I think I am sitting a little firmer on the fence . (I saw that issue with the license plate but thought I would ignore it.)
Now I...
Very nice! You have a beautiful truck.
I am interested in the JCR spare delete because it gives the opportunity to use rotopaX options as you have done. However, I see the left and right sides have a gap away from the tailgate. My concern (like other spare delete products) is the "exposed"...
It's worth a lot. I appreciate your input. I need some hand-holding.
I have been following very closely and yours seems to be the prevailing opinion. There are some very good and educated voices on the other threads concerning the manual.
I just get weak knees from time to time, especially...
