I'll be shocked if there isn't an after-market fold back soft top. While there are advantages to both the hard and soft tops, my preference would be to have both.
Makes sense, although I haven't heard of any constraints on soft top production. I also thought their 2-door take rate was much higher than expected (and much higher than the buy rate on 2-door Wranglers).
Wouldn't it help with the MIC shortage issue? I think most 2-door reservation holders would gladly take a soft top (we're all going to be getting one later anyhow)--esp if Ford offered the hard top hardware package for free as it's doing for the 4-doors. Sorry if I missed previous discussion...
Driven manuals most of my life, but mostly sports cars--started on a Jetta but then 3 Porsches (2 944s and a Boxster) and an Audi S5. Although I'm still not 100%, I'll likely go MT on a Bronco BL. Just can't see the AT being nearly as much fun. Like many others, I'd be thrilled with a MT...
I know this has been discussed to death, but what is the current thinking/guesses on what the color of the MIC top will be? So far, we've seen everything from light gray to pretty much black. The B&P is all over the place. Ditto with respect to the pre-production builds we've seen. It seemed...
I read somewhere that you can change an order any time until Ford assigns you a VIN, which will occur around the time the production schedule is set (May).
@dtowe I'm still with Masheter. Considering switching to Ricart or to Stephens in W Va. I'm having a tough time getting info from Masheter. It's frustrating. I just want to know what their allocation is and where I am in line. You'd think I was asking for the nuclear codes.
@sanford I ran across your name on a thread relating to the Stephens Auto Group offer to sell at $1,000 below invoice. Since you're still with Ricart, I assume you decided not to do that? Any particular reason?
Hey guys--sorry if this has been covered--if so I couldn't find it. The Bronco will be my first experience with serious off-roading and towing. I'm looking at non-squatch BL and I'm trying to decide between 2.3 or 2.7. I'll be towing a trailer weighing (fully loaded) 2000-2600 lbs. Any...
I was "assigned" to Masheter when I made my reservation. They haven't been terribly communicative, but did confirm MSRP pricing. I think I'll give Ricart a call. Any suggestions on who I should try to talk to there?
