  1. 2023 2-Door Iconic Silver Badlands Build - SOLD

You can flip the headrest backwards. I used to do this when wearing a helmet. Not ideal if you get rear ended and aren't wearing a helmet(y)
  2. 2023 2-Door Iconic Silver Badlands Build - SOLD

AFE is not known for "quiet" exhaust systems. Good stuff but a bit more on the "tuner" side of loud. I lean towards Magnaflow for the sound I like. I little Dynamat or other sound suppression material above the muffler or front resonator helps a bit.
  3. "We're betting on dealers. We're not going to go direct." - Jim Farley on EV dealers

Good old capitalism. Build items people don't want and the market goes; no thanks. Seems Big Auto was banking on the government using Covid tactics to force everyone to EVs.
  4. New Ford Performance B-Bow & C-Bow Brace Kit

Might be because I don't consider myself a 1%er but I still like a body and chassis that flexes less. I'm happy for you that you're a 1%er and are more knowledgeable than the 99% of the ignorati. You do you and keep telling folks how ignorant they are all while providing nothing that helps...
  5. New Ford Performance B-Bow & C-Bow Brace Kit

Yea I've seen many 3 wheeled wonders going down the track. That's a straight line where NVH and body flex takes a back seat to weight reduction, acceleration and traction. I get your point about unibody vs BoF. I also remember how squeaky and rattly the old Fox bodies were. A body that flexes...
  6. Why do Bronco owners drive so slow?

As a driver of anything that's true.
  7. New Ford Performance B-Bow & C-Bow Brace Kit

Both of those design methodologies can be correct. Now hug it out ;)
  8. Why do Bronco owners drive so slow?

Agreed 99%. I actually enjoy ultra mileing sometimes to see how good I can get it. It's also good for trending. I was getting a steady 25 now it's 23 under the same conditions. Issue? Maybe, maybe not. I'm old and my parents lived through the Great Depression ;). Other times? I bomb around like...
  9. Rear Too Stiff

Bumps don't technically affect spring rate. Spring rate is set by the specs of the coil steel. For a linear spring the rate is the same across its duty length. Progressive rate springs do load up as compression increases. That's their "thing". Under fairly high differential loads across the...
  10. Check your tire pressure on delivery - mine were over-inflated

I'm paranoid about this. I check the TP before I leave the parking lot. Then I check lugs with a quick tug to make sure they're tight. Followed by retorquing all nuts bolts when I get home. Past bad experiences with overzealous impact gun use means I avoid if possible letting them install my...
  11. Check your tire pressure on delivery - mine were over-inflated

This info does a good job of reinforcing the importance of temperature. The chalk is best used on tires at their warmed up temp. Over the life of the tire the wear adds up. You can also use a temp gauge. It's also a decent quick check for toe changes after a lift although an actual alignment is...
  12. New Ford Performance B-Bow & C-Bow Brace Kit

Having put chassis braces on several cars and 10 years of autocross with and without chassis stiffeners on the same vehicle I can assure you, you are absolutely wrong. Would a lot of people be able to tell the difference? Of course not. Does it work regardless? Yes. Do the physics work...
  13. New Ford Performance B-Bow & C-Bow Brace Kit

"This will only reinforce the roll bar, not stiffen the chassis." is a statement I disagree with. A "roll bar" is an integral part of the chassis. That's how they work. With this B pillar brace tying the upper sections of the chassis together it will be more rigid. What you're saying goes...
  14. New 2023 window down feature?

    Excellent! Thank you
  15. Why do Bronco owners drive so slow?

In all of my cars that is close to or even below normal operating temps. You need 220F to burn some deposits and vaporize any trace water in your oil. Full synth has higher operating temps
  16. Why do Bronco owners drive so slow?

Forced induction is very helpful in higher altitudes vs NA.
  17. Why do Bronco owners drive so slow?

A bit of irony that a "speed devil", posting about blinding folks with headlights and how everyone needs to "get out my way" is ranting about how others need to be taught how to drive.
  18. Rear Too Stiff

Who made the trailing arms? It's very unusual for someone to lower the durometer value of suspensions bushings. Aftermarket almost always goes higher. Usually rubber to urethane. Don't have our Bronco yet but know which vendor provides what options I'm making a list on how to dial in the...
  19. RCI Modular Roof Rack NOW AVAILABLE!

It's probably just me but I would be bothered by the inconsistent gap between roof and rails. Might be camera angle. I can definitely see me fiddling with this until the gap was consistent.
  20. RCI Modular Roof Rack NOW AVAILABLE!

I see the car portion has a nice rake angle on the front. A nice blocking plate to make this more aerodynamic would be a nice addition. Similar to the front of the full rack.
