One advantage of your dealer working the top of the list down is that they can tell you where you really stand in line based on the cancellations ahead of you.
FCTP has been around for years now . This isn't some new program they just rolled out for Bronco. It was probably always part of the plan, so its not like that production would have gone to building customer cars. My dealership has a Bronco Sport in the FCTP program. It has definitely helped...
Thanks @Six Miles South. Yes we have A51 and Cactus Gray bronco sports here at Acton Ford. The cactus gray is leaving on Friday afternoon, but I have another one that should arrive right behind it.
I wouldn't expect a great lease on the Bronco. With demand so high, I don't see why Ford would take the risk of leasing when they can just sell them and let the customer take the residual risk. They did this with the ranger at launch. It had a high residual value, but a super high money factor...
Although I'm not ordering this color, I do have to say it is the most underrated color in the ford line up. The more you see it, the more it grows on you. Looks grayish on a dark day and silver on a light day. Also looks great with black accents like a painted black roof...
Saying the question should be asked if a dealer that size, in a market of that size, anticipates earning the allocation to support 20 bronco orders + their existing reservations. I'm referring to the method discussed in this thread. I'm not sure how accurate the interpretation is within the...
This supports the allocation concern. I dont think Ford is going to design an allocation system that allows dealers to earn inventory allocation that is significantly disproportionate to sales, at least not for the first model year. Just speculating but this is probably the reason Granger was...
I think it's a management lease. The guy didn't do a good job of redacting the info. If you click in on the image and look closely, the dealer is listed as Ford Motor Company WHQ (World Headquarters?). Probably a Ford employee speaking out of school.
There is a report that dealers get weekly that tells them which orders are likely to get built and which ones won't AND why. Any good dealer who is paying attention will reach out about minor spec changes that could accelerate your build. Over the years I've had stupid things hold up truck...
Nice find! Based on the table, it looks like this is from a fleet company, donlen. Retail orders dont usually follow the same timelines as fleet in terms of scheduling, so I wouldn't put much stock in the 1.14 scheduling date.
In theory yes. My point is that the money factor can be manipulated to dissuade people from leasing, as was the case with the ranger. What better way to keep your resale values high than to limit the supply of used vehicles that enter the market i.e. lease returns. Just my opinion, but I would...
Unless they jack up the money factor. When the ranger launched, a 3 year 10.5k mile lease had a residual that was close to 70%. The money factor was so high that nobody leased them. Hopefully this doesnt happen with Bronco.
Negotiation doesn't have to be confrontational or adversarial. If you find the right dealer, it will feel more like a conversation than a negotiation. You may not always get the answer or the deal you are looking for, but if everyone is respectful and straightforward it usually leads to the best...
