  1. JB4 Tuner and regular service- risking voiding warranty?

How has your JB4 experience been? Was waiting for Ford Performance but not if they are going to take another year….
  2. Fender removal for Bronco Raptor - instructions / guide?

I have no good pics - just these - and I only have front experience. 1) remove inner liner - you will break those crappy clips - the wheels can stay on. 2) “slowly” pop or pry fender flare off from rear to front. I broke no clips and reused all OE clips. When I reinstalled the clips, I had...
  3. Vent Wrap

my vehicle is cactus gray. I removed a single vent then chickened out as I found I could not reinstall it without pulling the flare which scared the shit out of me. I did partially remove the fender flare by yanking on it but I think the reinstall is a little iffy as I had no new clips but...
  4. Vent Wrap

Removing the inner liner was relatively easy. Buy spare plastic clips ahead of time (I did not but I had some spares from my Weathertech mudflap kit) as you will break some. 7 mm socket and a rubber ball style clip removal tool bought at O’Reillys / that rubber ball permits a lot of leverage...
  5. Raptor Air Filter Housing Easter Egg

Have you seen this? Ford apparently internally calls this the “gum ball door” which I have heard allows them pass a certain test. Saw that when I ripped out my fender liner…
  6. Vent Wrap

Well. I took the fender liner out and pulled off the flare enough to install the vent and put it back together. The clips that hold the flares on seem to need to be rotated after reinstall as the head that slides into the flares are not symmetrical so I figured if I rotate the back of the...
  7. Vent Wrap

The locators are slightly longer than the nearby clips so they are for assembly. Two locators fit into horizontal slots so they don’t set position; one locator fits into into a hole so maybe I will keep that one if I can make it work. I might be the Guinea pig on this and cut the locators. 6...
  8. Vent Wrap

Thank you. Will probably take your advice. I don’t care if I drive around for a few weeks without it installed. My opinion is that those very long locator pins are an assembly aid only and if I trim them off completely the fit will be no worse as location is done by the 6 clips. Will study...
  9. Vent Wrap

Removed my vent to wrap it. Ooh boy does that removes hard due to the long overlap that goes under the fender flare. Concerned that I won’t be able to reinstall if I don’t remove the entire fender flare. Anyone do this yet? Any tips on reinstall?
  10. Mud flaps for Bronco raptor

Literally another thread in this folder on this topic. Weathertech. 40% the price.
  11. Weathertech Mudflaps/Bronco Raptor

Fast forward 12 months; I suspect these will be known for an affordable, not ugly - not attractive but functional choice. Fronts installed easier than rears. That is all I have to say for now until I see how they work.
  12. Weathertech Mudflaps/Bronco Raptor

not ideal for rock-crawling I’d agree….but I have no intention for that
  13. Weathertech Mudflaps/Bronco Raptor

Ignore the dust and dirt please. lol. Rears are not hard. Just did drivers side rear tonight. Weathertech is using creative liberty in calling this a “no drill” mudflap as that is what the 4 thread forming screws do into your rear bumper. They drill 4 small holes which u-clips then thread...
  14. Weathertech Mudflaps/Bronco Raptor

Looks better than expected. Just received mine. Both front and rear…
  15. Weathertech Mudflaps/Bronco Raptor

Are you serious? Gray vs black for plastics is a dab of trim restore away.
  16. Weathertech Mudflaps/Bronco Raptor

Weird gaps. I am hoping that I will quickly get used to that but not really confident that I will. When I ordered I did not realize you have to lose stock mudflaps which are too small but well integrated.
  17. Weathertech Mudflaps/Bronco Raptor

Nice job! As far as style goes, a little wonky looking regarding shape/style/finishing touches…but I am not buying them for looks. If they are that light in color, will be glossing those bad boys up to match the color of the fenders.
  18. Weathertech Mudflaps/Bronco Raptor

I have asked - but as mine have shipped I assume maybe can show pics this weekend. I am not sure but I suspect you are referring to a non-Raptor model as these just went on sale yesterday. The regular Bronco mudflaps may have a weird design flaw/gap - I won’t dispute that. But I don’t...
  19. Weathertech Mudflaps/Bronco Raptor

Not half bad. Better than what I made from scratch and a big bunch cheaper than anything else. The rear looks not very aggressive but I like it. Ordered.
