My understanding with those is that the only extra wire you should need is the constant hot to feed into the wireless controller.
I think if you start with the 4-pin plug and play, there is a 4-way to 7-way converter cable that plugs into the 4-way with an extra pigtail to add the brake...
C105 doesn't look like one I'd want to mess with.
So, the trailer reverse, just a regular 12V power wire, comes from a relay in the BJB through huge connector C105 straight to the back trailer hitch connector without any other connector in between and in no way going through the trailer tow...
Yes, very much thanks! Very clear on those two power supplies, which should be able to be used for this or even other purposes (for constant hot).
Also, is C4099 the 7-way connector itself or is it a different one near near the back ? I'm looking at it more and it looks like it is just the...
Sweet, keep us posted on that for sure. I have used Forscan to hack a few things on my 2014 Flex (adding Sync 3 APIM, making keys, some tweaky things). I have a wired ELM adapter with the MS/HS CAN switch (cheapie). Will tread lightly with the newer model for sure.
@flip, are those two 12V+ at the middle trailer tow module connector fed directly and dedicated from the fuses? do you have a diagram showing the power from fuses to connector?
Would you recommend taking power for the converter from one of the pins (and reducing the fuse to 15A up front) and...
This is the only video I've found that actually shows someone removing the plastic bumper and it shows the covers and light attachment pretty well. Starts at 3 minute mark:
Thus one has the fog lights. Looks like you actually have to remove the bumper and not just the covers to get at the...
Thank you, that was my question... too high to try that. I have another question on another thread... I am getting a Base model and I think what I really want is Max fogs in the bumper (yellow best?). This as you suggest should meet the need to see a lot of stuff on the sides and down the road...
Thanks. So looks like the Pro and Max driving pattern is not road legal due to output, but the Sports are? What do you think about the plan to use these as supplemental high beams then? I may then double them up with one of the little side lights... is there a two-circuit harness?
