Last post about trading to a hard top was $2500 + soft top and it had dozens of responses of people willing to cross country for the deal. You're probably looking at spending $3-$5k for an OEM top. Par for the course for most convertibles.

My 2014 4Runner did the same thing. Forums said it was normal. I think it's just an off-road SUV thing.

I did the same thing with my Porsche but used the Home link on my review mirror. The fob is just a glorified garage door opener. Start the pairing process on the mirror and pretend your valved exhaust fob is a garage door opener. Ezpz.
