I wouldn't be able to give up the full retract or lift-up hatch. The OEM is also easy to take off and/or switch with a hard top. The Bestop apparently takes a while. I've personally had no issues with the OEM soft top.

GMRS is a better choice that CB. It has clearer signals and is higher powered, significantly so with a mobile unit. FCC recently gave permission to manufacturers to make CB/GMRS combo radios. Not sure when it goes into effect or when any such radios will come out.

I used a seat rail mount on the passenger side. Easy to grab in an emergency.

You'll need to replace your fender if you remove the snorkel. It'll leave a big hole there.
